Weekly Astrology Forecast: October 4 - October 10
The Moon is decreasing in light and Mercury is slowing down to turn direct on Saturday, creating a potential sense of aimlessness or dissipation all week. Although we may feel that tangible forward motion is just out of reach, there is still important work to be done sorting out the last three months during which our self-image and creative vision was undergoing significant reorganization and re-examination. We see stark, potentially surprising, contrasts emerge on Sunday in a crisis-driven atmosphere. Ultimately, this is a valuable opportunity to more clearly see our options. There are extended periods when the Moon is VOC this week, beginning Monday, when maintaining focus and a sense of direction is particularly challenging. Monday's aggressive tone indicates a particularly strong sense of frustration. Mars opposes Neptune on Tuesday, possibly bringing some disappointment but also offering extraordinary creative vision if we can stay centered on the process instead of the outcome. Wednesday brings another VOC Moon along with a strong stubborn streak, making letting go of untenable positions particularly difficult. Thursday is a mixed bag of determined investigation and potential recrimination but we may find something important that we can use later. Friday and Saturday offer the whispers of a new direction as Mercury stations to go direct and Venus finally arrives back to the cusp of Virgo where it stationed retrograde all the way back in July. Venus also squares Saturn as the week ends, challenging our confidence and possibly keeping us focused on disappointments instead of possibilities. Nonetheless, attention to detail and 'House Cleaning' will serve us well when Monday's New Moon sets us on a new course.
