Virgo Full Moon

Virgo Full Moon - A Brass Ring

"God enters by a private door into every individual."

— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Venus and Mars finally make a conjunction this week that has been 'a long time coming'. They were nearly conjunct last summer but Venus turned retrograde and 'stalled out' before making the connection. In essence, there was more individual work to be done in order to build a new sense of our individual self-worth and establish more confidence in our unique perspective. Both Venus and Mars have now crossed the threshold of Pluto's position on the cusp of Aquarius and come together with a message of our individual strength and power. In Aquarius, the conjunction is less sensitive and more 'Universally connected'. The conjunction squares Jupiter in Taurus, requiring both confidence and self-discipline but also offering a great deal of optimism. The ongoing (now waning) Chiron/North Node conjunction continues to help us honor our unique, individual perspective. And our perspectives are stretched and expanded this week by the Sun's arrival in Pisces at the beginning of the week and Mercury's arrival in Pisces at the end of the week. Pluto, Venus and Mars 'hold' the innovative 'ground' in Aquarius while the Sun and Mercury join Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, making more space for inspiration. Our perspective is expanded enough that we may be able to see both 'the forest' and 'the trees'. We are challenged to look toward the future as well as maintain our focus on what is directly in front of us. It is the extra light of Saturday's Virgo Full Moon (4:30 AM PST 5° Virgo/Pisces) that really brings the opportunities for expanded perspectives to our attention. In fact, there is a Brass Ring offered — we just need to 'grab' it. The Full Moon makes an encouraging trine to Jupiter but there is individual uncertainty suggested by the Moon's quincunx to the Venus-Mars conjunction. The quincunx is asking us to trust that what is just around the 'Blind Corner' is at least a glimpse of how we can effectively maneuver within the context of the 'New Era' in which we find ourselves. We don't need to abandon the lessons of our past but rather, adapt them within a new context. There doesn't seem to really be a great deal of 'drama' or chaos in this Full Moon — the Aquarius/Taurus fixed sign energies are most likely to hold things together. But there is enough flexibility for new insights, expanded perspectives and the inspiration to encourage us to lay the groundwork for a more stable and secure future.

Expanded focus is required on Sunday. Some may go overboard with 'future tripping' while others feel an increased sense of excitement and adventure. There is a well-grounded atmosphere on Monday despite what may be a shaky start. Helping others will bring out latent abilities and expand our focus beyond just 'helping ourselves'. Tuesday brings increasing encouragement to offer ourselves 'to the world'. Charm and charisma serve to further expand the foundations for future initiatives. We may be tempted to set our sights a bit too high on Wednesday. We need to focus on simpler and more obvious solutions. The atmosphere on Thursday is quite amiable and optimistic. There are marvelous opportunities to clear away some challenging relationship stumbling blocks. We are left with little sense of direction for most of the day on Friday. The evening may bring some uncertainty or a temporary dip in confidence. The atmosphere is optimistic and sociable on Saturday. We have a remarkable opportunity to expand our perspective exponentially.
