Sun-Mercury-Saturn conjunction - Vague Pressure
"You've always had the power my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself."
— Wizard of Oz
Last Saturday's Virgo Full Moon (4:30 AM PST 5° Virgo/Pisces) has offered us a 'Brass Ring' — we just need to reach out and grab it. There are, in fact, significant opportunities presented to us this week but they aren't easy to recognize. Both the Sun and Mercury conjunct Saturn in Pisces on Wednesday of this week. The Sun-Mercury-Saturn conjunction produces a sense of restriction and pressure but we are likely to feel that pressure is extremely vague and nebulous. We may find ourselves desperately trying to figure out "What is the PLAN!?" We may be struggling to understand how to blend our intellect and intuition effectively in order to determine exactly what actions we need to take and what direction we need to go. There are a number of temptations and distractions that may seem to lure us off course, making any previous groundwork that we've laid seem to be meaningless. However, by finding the right balance between intellect and intuition, we should be able to stay close enough to 'the path' to maintain a context for both our past efforts and future possibilities. It is important to remember that tied up in the pressurized Saturn/Sun/Mercury conjunction on Wednesday is the Superior Sun-Mercury conjunction, suggesting that we are setting off on a new way of thinking — new ideas and a new approach. The overall atmosphere is defined by the waning of the lunar cycle — the Moon is decreasing in light. As well, the Chiron/North Node conjunction (which dominated much of the last two weeks of the waxing lunar cycle) is also waning and we may feel that our resolve to take direct, independent action has begun to weaken. What we can hopefully begin to understand from this waning phase of the cycle is that we need to turn to our alliances with others. There is important help to be found when we find ways to bounce our ideas off of others. The 'mirror' that we find through sharing our ideas with others can help us to gather our strength and organize our strategy. As well, this can help us recognize the self-imposed restrictions and any reliance on 'old patterns' that are keeping us from finding effective solutions that will allow us to make use of the wealth of opportunities that are offered this week. While the value of interaction with those around us is highlighted in the later part of this week, it is still mainly an inside job to balance and make effective use of both our intellect and our intuition in order to understand how to grab the Brass Ring that has been offered to us.
We find ourselves reaching for something more on Sunday. There are temptations to veer off course or set off in an entirely new direction. We may feel some impulsiveness on Monday but recklessness is quickly shut down. We might like to just have someone tell us what to do. Tuesday's atmosphere is intellectual but extremely scattered and unfocused. We may feel that our initiatives are faltering but the dilemmas will eventually resolve themselves. We struggle to understand The Plan on Wednesday. The obstacles may seem to be quite overwhelming, especially near the end of the day. Complications may seem to be everywhere on Thursday. We will need to stay close to a sense of integrity and principle in order to avoid allowing our ambitions to push us beyond our abilities. We can begin to see this week's opportunities more clearly on Friday. An exchange of ideas opens the door to ongoing partnerships. Intuitive power is extremely strong on Saturday. We may come to conclusions or have insights without knowing exactly where they've come from or how we've arrived at our new understanding.
