Chiron/North Node Conjunction
Chiron/North Node Conjunction - You be you!
"We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."
— Martin Luther King Jr.
The week begins with an extraordinary burst of intense energy. Mars approaches Pluto on the Capricorn-Aquarius cusp as we begin this week and, by Monday evening, arrives in Aquarius. The Mars-Pluto conjunction completes by Tuesday. The unrestrained, independent, and restless energy of the conjunction is channeled through the Aries Moon on Monday and Tuesday. But also, through the extended Chiron/North Node Conjunction in Aries. The strong importance of community connection seen in Aquarius may be stirred to restless extremes by the Martian energy but can be better focused by the involvement of Chiron. Chiron is tightly conjunct the North Node in Aries through the entire week which amplifies and enhances the clarity of the message of Chiron in Aries. Chiron is generally referred to as the 'healer' or the 'maverick'. Chiron's lessons in 'aggressively independent' Aries helps us to recognize our need for others, our need for connection while continuing to maintain our individual perspective. We may often be tempted to abandon our individuality, soften our aggressiveness, or even compromise our integrity in order to keep the peace in our relationships with others. But Chiron keeps reminding us that the most important thing that we can bring to our interactions and connections with others is our own true self — our unique, individual perspective. This week's Aquarius/Aries energy is likely to produce a highly spontaneous environment along with an intense desire for unrestrained freedom. Sudden 'chain reactions' are possible since there isn't significant interest in applying the 'brakes' — 'Let 'er Rip!'. However, the Chiron/North Node conjunction does suggest that we actually do care about not hurting others and don't want to be doing serious damage in pursuit of our individual freedom. But, of course, those concerns will vary from individual to individual. Perhaps one of the most overlooked elements of the COVID pandemic — which is connected to Chiron's current transit through Aries as well as the Spanish Flu 100 years ago — is how, by the simple fact that we all breathe the same air, we are all connected to one another. Chiron's transit through Aries has helped us to better understand the dangers of treating those connections irresponsibly by pursuing individual freedom at the expense of those around us. We may feel some uncomfortable restrictions mid-week, under the Moon's transit through Taurus — some may try to hit the brakes. By Friday, though, Venus moves into Aquarius, crossing the same 'threshold conjunction' with Pluto that Mars crossed at the beginning of the week. Venus brings a great deal of excitement and creativity into this week's 'Aquarian Mix', softening some of the aggressiveness of the Aries involvement. Under the waxing lunar cycle unfolding following last week's Aquarian New Moon (which squared unpredictable Uranus), this week's developments are bound to be quite surprising and may even seem rather disruptive. Nonetheless, there is a great deal of protection and healing offered by the Chiron/North Node conjunction, providing gentle but firm reminders that we need to honor our own unique individual 'truth' while allowing space for the free expression of the 'truth' of others.
Energy builds on Sunday, with significant interest in making connections with others. The interactions are extremely important — for better or worse. There is intense energy on Monday which some may try to escape while others will embrace with enthusiasm. There are strong imperatives to share ideas with others on Tuesday. The spontaneous environment could produce sudden 'chain reactions'. The demand for unrestrained freedom meets some restrictions on Wednesday. Personal integrity seems to demand that we ask impertinent or uncomfortable questions that may seem threatening to others. While there may some disruptions on Thursday, tensions seem to dissipate somewhat. We do better by 'actively listening' rather than working towards specific resolutions. Friday's energy is creative and exciting. The stakes are raised in the individual pursuit of personal freedom and independence. Some 'mischief' is stirred on Saturday. Many are quite 'untethered' in ways that could cause us to miss some valuable opportunities.
