Venus-Uranus Trine
Venus-Uranus Trine - Free Wheeling Independence
"Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future."
— John F. Kennedy
As the Moon wanes in light this week, it is important to stay connected with our broader aims and goals. Last week's Full Moon encouraged us to break free from constraints and chart a new course, while bringing our individual creative spirit into cooperative or group efforts. However, we are working within an entirely new framework and, even if we have developed a perfect plan to follow, we need to maintain flexibility. There is a great deal of idealism in this atmosphere which has us moving at a significant pace. Our overall energy levels are likely to stay quite high. Nonetheless, our sense of direction, guided by idealistic vision, may find significant challenges when we encounter the 'facts on the ground'. We need to remember that the 'road' is not the same as the 'roadmap'. Our vision, our plan, our goals have to be flexible enough to adjust to the 'facts on the ground'. In other words, it is important to be prepared to make course corrections this week. This week's Mercury-Sun (superior) conjunction helps us to lift up our head and look further ahead on our path — just in time to see the need to make adjustments. By the end of the week, Venus makes an exciting, albeit erratic, trine to Uranus. Under a Venus-Uranus trine, free-wheeling independence may seem more like irresponsibility than creative insight. New ideas may seem to be at odds with idealistic vision. Next week's New Moon (February 4th, 1:03 PM 15° Aquarius) will offer us trustworthy intuition to sort out the uncertainty about our future that develops this week.
It may be easy to become sidetracked or distracted on Sunday. We may find that we are losing sight of our overall goals and vision as we deal with challenging but mundane details. Monday's impatience leads us to consider making changes to our overall approach or plan. Course corrections are even more seriously considered on Tuesday. We find ourselves open to comparing notes and sharing experiences with others. Mercury moves ahead of the Sun on Wednesday, helping us to lift up our heads and look ahead. Intuition offers significant clues about how to keep working towards our goals while adjusting to the facts on the ground. Thursday brings extraordinary optimism. Wisdom is blended with creativity and helps to soften the sharp edges of individual idealism. We may see some jealousy or suspicion regarding new ideas on Friday. For some, it may seem as though erratic or irresponsible behavior is being rewarded. There is an exciting give and take of ideas on Saturday. However, a desire to please others may make it difficult to keep up our individual side of the exchange./p>
