Weekly Astrology Forecast: December 27 - January 2
Venus in Sagittarius: Happy New Year!
Our attention turns to practical approaches and tangible progress this week. Personal interactions seem to hinge on trust, compromise and a hospitable acceptance of the perspectives of others. Some may find that they have put too much trust in others or assumed agreement when there were significant differences. Nonetheless, there are remarkable, philosophical openings that allow many of these discrepancies to be cleared up and sorted out. As we come to the end of 2015, a year of streamlining and letting go, we are likely to find some practical solutions to some particularly challenging situations, allowing us to release the issues and move on. Venus arrives in Sagittarius late Tuesday evening and, instead of inspiring the expected frivolity of this combination (and a Blow Out New Year's Eve Party!), the glow of Venus serves to increase the appeal of practicality and responsibility. We begin the week driven by determined, self-sufficient will power. However, Sunday's open, hospitable environment opens the door to variety of perspectives. Nonetheless, we shouldn't assume that everyone is on the same page with us — or we, with them. Trust becomes a factor on Monday as any unrealistic or unspoken expectations could lead to some wounded egos. Tuesday's Virgo Moon helps with the clean-up, resolving misunderstandings with a subtle shift in tone or focus. Wednesday shifts our focus even more, lightening any burdens by showing us the appeal of a simpler, more practical approach — not just drudgery but simple, clarifying solutions. Some may feel a bit let down on Thursday if the heavens don't just open up when we commit to a more practical line of thinking. We need to remember that practical, simpler approaches and consistent effort are not a strategy for quick rewards but rather, a method for establishing lasting achievement. The energy shifts significantly on NEW YEAR"S DAY, possibly leaving many of us feeling like we're in limbo. The week's practicality begins to feel a bit more like caution on Friday, as we worry about making mistakes rather than making progress. However, the door is wide open to philosophical musings and the exploration of broad, theoretically concepts. By Saturday, we look for ways to expand the boundaries through intense rhetorical debate veiled by a thin layer of social protocol. The retrograde Mercury that begins next week will take us back through this landscape of practical approaches and philosophical insights, encouraging us to weave them together in exciting new patterns.
