Mercury arrives in Cancer at the beginning of this week, opening the doors to processing our emotions with more productive approaches and more hope of healing emotional sensitivities. Mercury's trine to Jupiter expands the reach of our thinking — we can begin to see a bigger picture. Our sense of optimism encourages us — perhaps a bit too much — to expand our reach. The Venus-Mars conjunction and the Sun's trine to Neptune, mid-week, brings the optimism, creativity and expansion to a marvelous peak. We may feel as though destiny, fate, or Providence has smiled upon us at last. With awareness, we will begin to see the realignment of our relationships and alliances in ways that allow us to see new opportunities and find ways to move past obstacles in new and creative ways. Of course, the cascading wealth of change is more than likely to bring forward some challenging unintended consequences or some 'knee-jerk' push back from anyone who is resistant to the changes. At the very least, there are significant adjustments to be made. We may recognize that there are challenging new demands, associated with change, that suddenly seem to threaten the free expression of our creative inspirations. Again, with awareness, we can see that this week's realignment offers profound opportunities to stabilize our position through the establishment of a new foundation. The focus on our home base, with the Sun and Mercury in Cancer, offers the potential to clear away long-standing emotional sensitivities and blind spots. Chiron turns retrograde on Thursday (joining Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, and Neptune). Chiron's transit through Aries encourages individual self-expression. Under Chiron's retrograde motion, we can become more interested in what others are expressing. With that increased interest, we can begin to recognize the messages that the Universe is sending us through the insights of those around us. By the end of the week, under a Sun-Pluto opposition, we will see more clearly the costs of this week's shift and may recognize that others are having difficulty adjusting to the powerful shifts that have come about this week. Nonetheless, even if we find challenging obstacles to contend with by the end of the week, the practical inspiration and expanded awareness that we are offered can carry us beyond the obstacles. Next Friday's Aquarius Full Moon (7:36 PM 1° Aquarius/Leo) will inject a helpful note of detachment that will bring more clarity to any challenges or obstacles that we face as we end this week.

Sunday's atmosphere is both healing and stabilizing. There is increased optimism but we should guard against cutting ties with those around us in order to enhance a sense of freedom. Monday's VOC Moon suggests that we should guard against relying too heavily on commitments made to us by others. The Venus-Mars conjunction on Tuesday offers up a dose of reality that is reassuring, rather than oppressive or discouraging. Despite some ego-sensitivity, there is a strong sense of destiny that increases our determination. The sense of destiny builds on Wednesday. The innovative and transformational opportunities are tremendous. Chiron turns retrograde in Aries on Thursday. The atmosphere may feel very scattered and unfocused. Although the shifts may have some feeling off balance, there are doors opening to future cooperation and collaboration. Friday's environment may feel quite 'crisis-driven'. Obstacles seem to create the need to realign our alliances. The Sun-Pluto opposition completes on Saturday. It is important to allow ourselves to exist 'outside of our comfort zone' in order to move through the very transformative atmosphere. We need to be fearless as we examine a wide variety of new ideas, approaches, and perspectives.
