Sun Enters Scorpio - Search For Truth

The Sun enters Scorpio on Wednesday, signalling an important shift in our focus. For the past few months, we have been geared towards building cooperation, embracing collaboration, and making new alliances. To this end, our focus has been on understanding others and listening to alternative points of view. However, when the Sun enters Scorpio, it sets off a determined search for truth, we are increasingly disinclined to take input from others or seek compromise. Although it may take much of the week to stabilize our self-confidence amid the ongoing uncertainty in the environment, we find determined resolve to move forward. Nonetheless, Mercury is slowing down and will retrograde beginning next week, from October 31st until November 20th. The self-directed course that we seek to establish this week will more than likely be subject to significant review. That is not to say that we are charting the wrong course — only that we should plan to take time to carefully review our strategies and think through the potential outcomes, in search of weaknesses in our plans and elements that we may have overlooked. While the resolve may feel quite uplifting — even intoxicating — we should seek to be just as resolute in approaching the careful review of our resolve.

We pull back on Sunday, possibly resorting to isolation. There may be some smoldering resentments and our determination seems to waver. Confidence is restored on Monday under a Leo Moon. The atmosphere is unpredictable and behavior is somewhat erratic. There are strong elements of faith that serve to temper our approach and keep our confidence from becoming abrasive. We have little desire to pursue direct confrontation on Tuesday, which seems to further temper our self-confidence and determination. The tension serves as a bit of grinding and polishing on our approach and our interactions with others. The Sun arrives in Scorpio on Wednesday and, as it straddles the cusp between Libra and Scorpio, creates a wonderful atmosphere for blending diplomatic cooperation and individual determination. We would very much like to make connections with others on Thursday, but we are less and less inclined to compromise in order to continue cooperation. Connections and cooperation are less important on Friday, giving way to independent, self-directed determination. By Saturday, we put the 'pedal to the metal' and seek to move forward with independent determination. However, Mercury will turn retrograde in Scorpio by the end of next week, creating a space where our resolve will be subject to important review.
