Sun Square Pluto
Aries Full Moon - Turning Point
"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing."
— Helen Keller
This week begins with an extremely powerful Aries Full Moon on Sunday (2:07 PM PDT 20° Aries/Libra), which has both the Sun and the Aries Full Moon in an exact square to Pluto. The most likely response is to look for some way to lock down our gains and find some way to escape or avoid the pervasive instability and uncertainty in the atmosphere. Sharp turns and sudden surprises are possible and the 'hand of fate' or destiny is likely to have a part to play as well. Nonetheless, the overarching lessons in this environment continue to guide our focus towards cooperation, collaboration, compromise, and connection. The early part of the week seems to keep our focus on finding some way to establish certainty somehow. Although our search for something stable may be a futile exercise, the tension that is produced does serve to narrow our focus and encourage us to build foundational relationships and somehow root ourselves within the context of a team, group, or 'tribe'. However, we may quickly become impatient with the depth of those connections and find ourselves again looking for refuge in isolation and solitude. By the end of the week, emotions boil over. Impatience and restlessness creates an important crisis point which may seem especially scary and uncomfortable. Nonetheless, by staying with the process, we find our way to 'the other side' of those emotions and gain a deepened sense of connection as we ride the process.
Sunday's Aries Full Moon, tightly square Pluto, signals a significant turning point. The desire to find a sense of stability is powerful, albeit futile. Destiny and Fate are at work. Monday's Taurus Moon encourages our search for something stable. The most important work we can do is to build foundational alliances and foster connections with others that can help us to stay grounded. Mercury trines Neptune on Tuesday, opening the door to compassionate communication. The Moon is VOC for most of the day Wednesday. Escaping uncertainty feels like the major driving force. The Gemini Moon on Thursday seems to bring restlessness and impatience. We are looking for deeper meaning but may feel as though we can only find superficial chatter. The search for deeper meaning seems to be further obscured on Friday. The Moon reaches Cancer on Saturday and makes an extremely emotional square to Mars, bringing emotions to a boiling point. However, once we are through the somewhat frightening outbursts we eventually find some depth of communication and important insights.
