Saturn Stations Direct - New Wisdom

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. "

— Eleanor Roosevelt

We have extraordinary opportunities this week to build a powerful coalition of allies and a solid foundation of broad support. However, we face increasing levels of insecurity and waning confidence. We may be prone to see, mirrored in others, the lack of confidence we feel inside. The Summer's steady stream of visionary inspiration begins to wane, with the separating Jupiter-Neptune trine. Saturn stations direct, promising a return to tangible progress, increased wise counsel, and methodical consideration — but also bringing an awesome sense of responsibility. We face the challenge of bringing our visionary plans and inspiration into the tangible material world. Although we aren't actually even to the 'testing phase', we may begin to question whether or not we are really up to the challenge. As we move towards a more responsible, grounded approach, there is a spectacular 'hand off' as Mercury emerges from the shadow of it's last retrograde period just as Venus enters her own retrograde shadow (October 6 - November 15). We have lost some of our bluster, bravado and ego-based defensiveness under the summer's retrograde Mercury. Now, we begin to seek increased cooperation and compromise with others. We may see many of our best and worst qualities mirrored in our perception of others. Nonetheless, the journey will teach us many important lessons about what we believe we lack — deficiencies we look to others to solve for us. There is likely to be increasing focus on what our relationships show us about who we are. We may face increased disappointment in others — likely a reflection of our disappointment in ourselves. Within this atmosphere, our relationship with others may begin to overshadow the actual tasks at hand which Saturn is beginning to demand we undertake. Holding tightly to personal confidence seems to be the key moving forward, as we seek to face our responsibilities while engaging with others in the process.

Conversation is easy and amiable on Sunday but also full of potent and powerful insight and understanding. On Monday, Venus enters the shadow of her next retrograde phase (October 6 - November 15). Important markers are set down as we move forward with an increasing inclination to seek cooperation and compromise but without some of the bluster and bravado that was chipped away earlier this summer. Tuesday brings the need to take stock of our priorities. We may feel significant vulnerability and waning confidence. On Wednesday, we begin to seek to reassure ourselves through interaction with other people. However, any lack of assurance may lead us to push too hard and manipulate others to get what we need. Perfectionism could slow us down on Thursday, as the steady stream of visionary inspiration from the Jupiter-Neptune trine begins to wane and Saturn stations direct. We are especially vulnerable to softening self-confidence on Friday and are likely to seek others to help us shore up our self-image. The Moon arrives in Virgo Saturday morning, beginning to activate Sunday's New Moon (11:01 AM PDT 17° Virgo). There is some significant impatience when we aren't able to establish the kind of cooperative atmosphere we want to build.
