Retrograde Venus
Retrograde Venus - Questions
"I have only one thing to do and that's
Be the wave that I am and then
Sink back into the ocean"
Pluto turns direct at the beginning of this week, adding deep, foundational power to the innovative, energetic forward motion of Mars in Aquarius, which turned direct a few weeks ago. Our efforts begin to show tangible, lasting results. However, by the end of the week, Venus will have turned retrograde in Scorpio, plunging us into a wilderness — 40 days and 40 nights — where we need to reconnect with our true value — the meaning and importance of our unique place in the Universe. The question of responsibility is where the journey begins. Just as we begin to gain some traction in our Mars driven activity and effort, we face new questions at every turn:"Am I meeting my responsibilities?""; "Am I getting the recognition I deserve?"; "How can I make changes in my life?" Fear, guilt, or insecurity may result from some suggestion that we aren't adequately meeting our personal responsibilities. The challenge of being right-sized — neither all important or worthless — is where we need to look for redemption this week. We may spend much of the week spinning our wheels without listening to the message of the Universe telling us that we're right where we're supposed to be. We are likely to face strong temptations to look to others to somehow make us complete. The lesson of the retrograde Venus is to face our imperfections without disillusionment or deception. We may find further disappointment when we don't get the reassurance we believe we need from others. However, instead of looking for reassurance from others, we need to offer it.
Sunday's questions may have us chasing rainbows or wound up tightly in meaningless 'red tape'. Pluto turns direct. Monday's Cancer Moon has us feeling quite sensitive at the beginning of the day but, as activity heats up we gain more confidence and a determination to find more meaningful answers to the questions that surfaced on Sunday. There is an emotionally driven need for perfection on Tuesday that may keep us too stirred up to listen to our intuition. Detachment is required to clearly assess our individual responsibilities. Charm and inspiration roll in with Wednesday's Leo Moon but we may have significant feelings of inadequacy when we discover that charm isn't enough to solve the challenges of the day. By Thursday, we may begin to recognize that we need to pull back from our focus on personal concerns, take a step back, and look at the big picture again. If we are too wrapped up in our own personal concerns, we'll miss the intuitive spiritual insight that is beginning to flow. Venus stations retrograde on Friday, signalling the beginning of a journey through the wilderness which challenges us to clear away the fear of our own imperfections and learn to better accept ourselves just the way we are. We face disappointment on Saturday if we are hoping to find reassurance from others. Rather, we need to find ways to offer that reassurance to others wherever we can.
