Pisces New Moon

Pisces New Moon - Dissolution

"Some people will say that words like scum and rotten are wrong for Objective Journalism -- which is true, but they miss the point. It was the built-in blind spots of the Objective rules and dogma that allowed Nixon to slither into the White House in the first place."

— Hunter S. Thompson

This week's shifts are striking and stark. The Pisces New Moon on Wednesday (6:03 AM PST 15° Pisces) ushers us into an entirely new era, marked by Uranus' return to Taurus. As well, Mercury stations retrograde on Wednesday and we are guided towards an extended review of our past in search of emotional baggage and blind spots that need to be jettisoned in order to release our full creative potential. As rigidity begins to dissolve under the Pisces New Moon, conjunct a powerful Neptune and sacrifice focused Vesta, we may feel stability has gone 'out with the tide'. Nonetheless, Neptune's influence can also bring extraordinary inspiration. Visualization is especially powerful this week, opening up profound opportunities for self-transformation. However, before we can find the route to our creative, transformative rebirth, we must move through the guided review of our past by Mercury's retrograde path through Pisces. The process may have us feeling lost or hopelessly confused. Where ever we are relying on old and outmoded experiences that don't connect us directly to where we find ourselves right now, the more confusion we will feel. Intuition is a powerful and important guide on this journey but, unfortunately, can be easily confused with illusion and self-deception — potentially leading to significant fear. Faith is essential to keep our fears at bay so that we aren't afraid to keep our eyes open and stare down the stubborn internal obstacles that keep us from reaching our fullest potential.

It may seem important to adapt and fit in on Sunday. If we're too focused on what others think of us, we'll disrupt our connection to our own creative vision. We feel more freedom to be ourselves on Monday but we may lose sight of humility and be prone to a return to idealistic self-righteousness. The Moon arrives in Pisces and Mercury stations to go retrograde on Tuesday — the foggy uncertainty begins to descend. Rigidity begins to dissolve under Wednesday's Pisces New Moon. However, any sense of stability may also seem to disappear. Thursday brings Grand Inspiration suggesting a willingness to make Grand Sacrifices. Nonetheless, we're very much concerned with protecting those closest to us. The demands of the new landscape become apparent on Friday. Blind spots and emotional baggage that is weighing us down feels significantly heavier. Saturday morning's emotional turmoil could leave us languishing for much of the day.
