We begin this week with a 'show' of confidence which slowly becomes more circumspect and considered. We may initially try to overcome our insecurities with a bit of bluster and a 'fake-it-till-you-make-it' approach. Even if our confidence is superficial, it may spread to others, which opens doors to broader perspectives. There are certainly shifts and changes on the way as we head into 2023. We may believe that there is a need to take some kind of immediate action this week — or at least make it look like we know where we're heading and what we're doing. There may even be some inclination to push forward as though the 'wheels' have already stopped turning and the shifts have already happened. However, with Mars still retrograde and Mercury pushing into the shadow of the next retrograde period (December 29, 2022 - January 18, 2023), there are still plenty of loose ends to sort through. Especially under this week's Sun-Neptune square, we don't really have a clear view yet. We run into some challenges this week which require us to make adjustments. These adjustments will increase our ability to put the past behind us and look ahead. What is more important than the confidence we are trying to show to others is our determination to stay with the process and follow through on the action steps that are already laid out in front of us. Follow through will be increasingly important once Jupiter gets back to Aries next Tuesday. We will also reach the Winter Solstice next Wednesday, followed by next Friday's Capricorn New Moon (2:16 AM 1° Capricorn) . We may already feel ready to look ahead and focus on our future but we should not try to forget what we have been through and 'where we come from'. As well, plans for future progress are not likely to be fully formed and are subject to revisions that are informed by more new information that has yet to be revealed A Mercury-Uranus trine at the end of the week is likely to produce a flurry of new insights, along with surprising bits of new information that has the potential to shift our planning and vision in unpredictable ways. In essence, although we may see a turn ahead, we should not try to make that turn prematurely. Our show of confidence seems to wane by the end of the week — it may simply feel like too much work to keep demonstrating our 'confidence'. However, demonstrating our determination to maintain faith and stay with the process is extremely powerful.

Isolation is particularly debilitating on Sunday. The Leo Moon inspires us to put on a 'show' of confidence. That 'show' continues on Monday and even seems to spread to those around us, building enthusiasm. However, in order to maintain any effectiveness, we will need to be honest about any insecurity or vulnerability. There is some pressure to move ahead on Tuesday but the necessary adjustments are more about stabilizing our position that actually making 'forward progress'. Confidence falls away on Wednesday — at least the 'show' of confidence. We'll do better to offer empathy to others and not worry too much about articulating a clear perspective of our own. It isn't easy to maintain clear focus on Thursday. Listening with empathy to what others are trying to say will help us to understand our own perspective better. Focus continues to be challenging on Friday. The urge to take action may have us 'overshooting the mark'. A Mercury-Uranus trine on Saturday offers important insight and wisdom. However, it isn't easy to find the energy to try to articulate everything that we've discovered. Nonetheless, it is more than likely that we are gathering important tidbits that will be effectively folded into next week's shifts.
