A concern over resources takes a toll on our optimism this week. Both Mercury and Venus move from expansive, optimistic Sagittarius to 'realistic' Capricorn. Unfinished business surfaces that begins to draw our attention away from our 'High Hopes'. Ultimately, we will need to recognize that we have not been clear enough in our communication with others — our alliances can begin to fragment when the lack of clear purpose begins to shift the focus to individual security. With idealism pushed to the side, we need to face the need for honest conversations about making hard choices. This Wednesday's Gemini Full Moon (8:07 PM PST 16° Gemini/Sagittarius) is tightly conjunct the retrograding Mars in Gemini. We have a hard time recognizing the need for adaptability — we may feel that we will show weakness if we try to make the necessary adjustments. Nonetheless, the need for 'course corrections' becomes apparent and we can't use a slick 'sales pitch' in order to rekindle overly-optimistic expectations. Communicating our ideas and enlisting support for our goals from others requires us to understand how to better balance our own needs with the needs of others. It isn't easy, within this week's environment, to find the confidence to fully open up or take decisive action in order to stabilize our position. The lessons that we need to learn require us to turn a 'blind corner', move beyond our insecurities, and communicate honestly. There is little that we can do to force others to understand or accept what we are trying to 'sell'. Side-stepping direct questions or presenting a 'stone face' won't provide any satisfaction. There are likely times this week when the challenges seem insurmountable but there are opportunities to rebuild on a more stable footing. We must first examine our own 'inner truth' and our own insecurities — then share that truth openly and honestly with others. The need for adjustment that surface this week are not likely to be as demanding or 'catastrophic' as they may appear to be. The real challenge is being clear, open, and honest about what our true goals and intentions really are.

Unfinished business surfaces on Sunday. There are cloudy obstacles to making hard decisions about how to allocate scarce resources. New ideas shatter our focus on Monday. We need to be responsible and practical rather than plowing ahead with free-wheeling intensity. We can begin to recognize that a conversation about hard choices is needed on Tuesday. Superficial 'patches' aren't enough to correct our course. Wednesday's Gemini Full Moon shifts our focus to assessing the value of the ideas that seem to be threatening our sense of security. We will need to either adjust our course or turn around entirely. Too many details keep us distracted from important communication and making hard decisions on Thursday. We need to better understand how to balance our own needs with the needs of others. Our focus shifts to personal security on Friday and idealism is pushed aside. We don't easily find the confidence to fully open up to others or take determined action to adjust our course. There are important opportunities for rebuilding on Saturday. Better communication is clearly the best solution to resolving concerns, strengthening alliances, and making hard decisions.
