Mercury Turns Direct - The Slow Down
We are still in a kind of 'stand-by' mode this week as Mercury slows down all week and stations direct on Saturday night. The Jupiter/Saturn sextile continues to maintain an overall stability and seems to assume the role of 'training wheels' to keep us stabilized while we look ahead and plan to make broad changes. We begin to feel a surge of detached independence and turn our focus towards the prospect of an implementation phase. Nonetheless, this week is the last stage of the refinement process before Mercury turns direct. Venus moves into Pisces Monday night and may lend a note of confusion to our understanding of how to build cooperative alliances while still maintaining a measure of autonomy. We'll need to carefully guard against trusting the wrong people or simply trusting too much without verifying the facts. However, mistakes seem to be a built-in part of this process and we should not allow defensiveness or embarrassment to derail our overall progress.
There is a measure of detachment at work on Sunday that permits us to better understand those around us. Monday sees an active Pisces Moon that offers the prospect of blending heart and mind while embracing a brave adventurousness. Venus arrives in Pisces late Monday and begins to sow some confusion about how to cooperate effectively. By Tuesday, activity becomes more chaotic and potentially destabilizing as the demand for freedom builds. Mercury gets back to Sagittarius on Wednesday and increases the desire for freedom and independence. The first quarter Moon on Thursday produces an environment where we can bravely test our wings but criticism or transitory failure may lead to some serious bouts of defensiveness. The Sun's conjunction with Pluto on Friday offers release, renewal and inspiration. We get a clear view of the turn we are about to take (when Mercury turns direct) and it feels quite exhilarating. We may be overcome by inspiration on Saturday but we need to be sure we don't forget the details — 'first things first'
