Mars-Neptune Trine - Creative Inspiration

"Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn't have it in the beginning."

— Mahatma Gandhi

There are extended periods, this week, during which the Moon is VOC, producing a recurring feeling that we are somewhat rudderless and adrift. We may often feel that we are not making any progress whatsoever. This week's progress is, for the most part, beneath the surface. Rather than seeing new shoots breaking the surface — as we might expect under an increasing Moon — we are sending down stabilizing roots, which are perhaps unseen or underappreciated. There are also a number of significant quincunx aspects, which point us towards the need to make a variety of adjustments. The Mars-Neptune trine culminates mid-week, offering some powerful creative inspiration. However, our faith may not be bolstered enough to avoid some deep discouragement. Impatience may surface if we can't tangibly recognize what we have to show for our efforts. Nonetheless, there is powerful support for foundation building if we can stay focused on long term goals and strategies and avoid expecting quick results and/or demanding tangible material proof of the progress being made.

Sunday offers some deeply inspiring intuitive insight. However, Venus arrives in Capricorn, which makes sharing our insights rather difficult. We may, instead, recognize a building imperative to maintain self-sufficiency. The Moon's arrival in Aries on Monday (Christmas Day) afternoon leads to some insecurity when we don't see as many tangible results as we would like. The Moon's quincunx to Mars and Jupiter on Tuesday points to the need to make adjustments. Impatience is controlled by a strong sense of responsibility, hopefully leading to some significant creative breakthroughs. The Moon is VOC most of the day on Wednesday, which is likely to take us unexpectedly off course in a highly competitive atmosphere. We continue to struggle with impatience on Thursday and, if we aren't able to maintain a sense of faith 'in the process' we may be tempted to take actions without fully understanding all of the pertinent facts. We may feel let down by others on Friday but a strong sense of self-sufficiency could lead us to blame ourselves. By Saturday, our confidence improves significantly. It is easier to bring down the drawbridge of self-sufficiency and open up to others.
