This Thursday's Gemini New Moon (3:52 AM PDT 19° Gemini) brings the growing power of this Spring's Gemini Influence to a peak. The focus is really on understanding how the words we use to communicate our individual perspective determine how we connect to those around us. The currently retrograding Mercury in Gemini, still squaring Neptune, is challenging us to learn more effective discrimination in choosing our words when we try to share our individual perspective with others. Under the retrograde Mercury, we are in the midst of an ongoing sub-process of review, clarifying our vision and learning how to communicate that vision to others. This sub-process is happening within the context of the larger, overarching process associated with the Saturn-Uranus square, which makes the second of three exact squares early next week (June 14th). It is especially important to understand the broader context this week because the retrograde Mercury is making an unusually long square to Neptune and is leaving us particularly prone to misunderstanding and miscommunication. We may actually come to believe that we've completely lost the thread of our vision, lost the context, or lost any sense of continuity, when we don't seem to be able to effectively communicate our individual perspective. The challenge we face — within the larger context of the Saturn-Uranus square — is to carefully check our individual goals and vision before we try to make tangible progress. This is resulting in what may seem to be an extremely slow pace in the progress of change. This week's communication challenges are most likely to create even more uncertainty unless we can see through the fog and recognize the slowdowns and communication challenges are transitory. Contributing to the feeling of a 'slowdown' has been the transit of Mars through Cancer, which has had a dampening effect on energy levels. Mars leaves Cancer this week for Leo, which is likely to boost our energy and personal assertiveness to some extent. However, the initial boost in energy is most likely to reveal some ego vulnerabilities, rather than boost our sense of confidence. We will most likely gain more confidence going forward but this week's especially foggy and confusing environment has the distinct potential of completely derailing our overall efforts. We need to choose our words very carefully this week and then stand back, allowing their meaning and intentions to slowly sink in to those around us — let the chips fall where they may — and have faith in our selves and our personal vision.

The Taurus Moon on Sunday stabilizes our ability to more clearly articulate our individual point of view. Emotional blind spots will weaken our position. Luck is available on Monday but may be easily wasted. We need to take the initiative to make use of what is offered or we will lose it. The challenge on Tuesday is found in dealing with abundance and a lack of discrimination. Our overall sense of satisfaction may be lacking no matter how much we have. Wednesday's smooth flowing atmosphere helps us to deepen our connections with others but clear communication is likely to be lacking.
