YODs - The Finger of God

"It's been a long
A long time coming
But I know a change gonna come"

This week sets up a new gauntlet for us to run. There are two distinct, albeit short-lived, balanced quincunxes to navigate during the first part of the week. We face the prospect of navigating some particularly tricky 'blind corners' indicated by these two potent balanced quincunxes — or YODs— that demand an enormous amount of patience, perseverance, and most importantly, faith. Mercury and Mars, conjunct in Virgo, form a YOD with Chiron in Aries and Saturn in Aquarius. The Virgo-Aries/Aquarius YOD is highly intellectual but may have us feeling as though we know much more than we can actually do anything about. The Mercury/Mars conversation with Chiron and Saturn inspire a deep dive to unearth and resolve pain, guilt, or any sense of inadequacy. We will need to use faith and intuition to stick with the process until we can gather enough information to finally gain broader understanding. The Sun in Leo forms another YOD this week with Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn, putting our egos 'on the line' at a time when the last thing that we should be worrying about is looking good — there is simply too much to be sorted out and the process is likely to seem messy. Venus arrives in Libra, encouraging us to seek harmony — but we should be wary of the costs of just 'keeping the peace'. Covering up the information that is coming through about our feelings and vulnerabilities will only leave them to fester. What is most needed with the Leo-Capricorn/Pisces YOD is detachment, which will help us make the most of the environment. These YODs demand adjustments but also provide important opportunities to make such adjustments. By the middle of the week, the pressure — and corresponding opportunities — begin to ease. First Mercury and then Mars escape the 'pressure zone' and form trines to Uranus, creating an active, spontaneous atmosphere with a great deal of intellectual excitement. We escape the blind corners and begin to get a glimpse of what is farther down the path. Uranus stations retrograde on Thursday, which promises to initiate a 'de-crystalization' process to free us of some long-standing obstacles. Once the view opens up, we begin to feel increasingly confident, just in time for next Sunday's Aquarius Full Moon (5:01 AM PDT 29° Aquarius). There is energy, enthusiasm, and excitement that reaches a crescendo under the Aquarius Full Moon. We see the prospect of momentous changes on the horizon.

Boundaries are difficult to navigate on Sunday. Being intellectually correct may actually be completely beside the point of the challenges we face. The search for perfection may seem excruciating. Mercury moves 'into the YOD zone' on Monday. Our intellect may seem completely inadequate to the task of dealing with the emotions that begin to surface. We have the opportunity to manifest a bit of detachment on Tuesday, which allows some room for sympathy and understanding — not just intellectual assessments. Mercury conjuncts Mars on Wednesday, offering promising resolutions and intellectual support for effective communication. However, patience and perseverance are needed to make the most of the atmosphere. We may feel as though we are in a holding pattern on Thursday. We may be more inclined to stay the course than initiate any sort of bold changes — even though we may feel that they are coming whether we want them to or not. Things fall into place spontaneously on Friday, although there is nagging frustration that nothing is quite 'perfect'. By Saturday, we can begin to recognize that the corner that we are turning is no longer a blind corner — we can see far enough to realize that there are indeed changes on the horizon and the excitement is palpable.
