Aquarius Full Moon - To Know

"Let us not look back in anger, nor forward in fear, but around in awareness."

— James Thurber

This week begins with a broad shift in awareness and perspective under Sunday's Aquarius Full Moon (5:01 AM PDT 29° Aquarius). The Moon's 'light' provides plenty of new insights to sort through and the Sun's entrance into Virgo, shortly after the Full Moon, gives us just the organizational capacities we will need in order to make effective use of what we are suddenly able to see and understand. Nonetheless, the Full Moon's imperative may encourage us to 'leap before we look' and it is important to pay close attention to our intuition and maintain some semblance of focus and self-direction. In this week's atmosphere, we should be careful to avoid being stampeded into any premature or unwise actions. The Virgo Sun implies some tendency to be self-critical, prone to perfectionism, and sensitivity to criticism from others. So, while we have increased organizational capacity, patience may be limited. We will need to embrace the Aquarian quality of detachment and maintain the willingness to listen to the perspectives that others are recognizing, even if they seem to be completely different than our own. That is not to say that we need to act upon any insights or ideas that we do not fully understand ourselves. During the course of the week, as the Moon's light begins to wane, we are likely to find ourselves dealing with some frustration or resentment — especially if things aren't moving as fast as we think they should, or we aren't able to find common ground. The long arc of the Saturn-Uranus square is still very active and slowdowns continue to be a significant factor. We may find ourselves 'out over our skis' and some of our insights and ideas may very well be ahead of their time. We should maintain some faith that others will eventually catch up and finally recognize the validity of our ideas. Ultimately, this week is incredibly exciting and active but we need to remember to take a breath. Compassion for the blind spots of others does not require us to give up on our own insights. However, we do need to be very diligent and check our facts before taking the sort of bold action that the Aquarius Full Moon seems to encourage.

Significant shifts on Sunday are marked by the Aquarius Full Moon, along with the Moon's move into Pisces and the Sun's move into Virgo. We need to remember to take time to survey the new landscape before leaping into action. Detachment and balance are necessary on Monday. We are vulnerable to being swept away by inspiration or finding ourselves being stampeded into premature actions. Communication is stirred on Tuesday and the Aries Moon's spurs us to take action. However, organizing our thoughts may be especially challenging. We are even more vulnerable to getting ahead of ourselves on Wednesday. There may be a significant amount of frustration. We pull back in some way on Thursday. Sensitivity is increased but there is not enough clarity to find satisfactory solutions. We need to guard against impulsiveness. Patience and a philosophical attitude on Friday brings a long term perspective and eases some of the imperative to take take quick action. Blind spots may have us blocked on Saturday, although there is great deal of creativity in the atmosphere. With some slight adjustments, we may be able to pursue some productive, creative exploration.
