Virgo Full Moon - Personal Perspectives

"Someday soon we'll stop to ponder what on earth's this spell we're under
We made the grade and still we wonder who the hell we are"

This week's Virgo Full Moon (12:17 AM PDT 27° Virgo/Pisces) occurs just after midnight on Friday morning. The Full Moon is preceded by the Sun's conjunction to Neptune at the beginning of the week. Neptune can be both inspirational and delusional. Neptune can also offer the potential for transcendence through a recognition that we are all, in truth, connected, despite our individual perspectives. The overall arc of this lunar cycle is geared towards expressing our unique, individual perspective while genuinely honoring the importance and value of the perspectives of others. We see some significant potential for the use of manipulation when Neptune's influence creates confusion and foggy situations. We may begin to see others as pawns that we need to move out of our way when we don't appreciate their unique perspective. However, the Sun's sextile to Pluto, just after the Virgo Full Moon, provides opportunities for individuals to recognize and embrace their individual power. A Chiron-Pallas conjunction is sextiled by Venus, highlighting powerful determination and serving to encourage the compassionate side of the Neptune elements that we are dealing with this week. As we seek to demonstrate our individual perspective, we can also develop compassion for the differing perspectives of others. We may see deep wounds exposed before we reach the Full Moon and we face the challenge of understanding how to maintain a balanced level of detachment. In truth, detachment can become just another form of escapism — also an expression of Neptune's influence. The key is to find a broad enough perspective to more fully understand the context of both our own challenges and the challenges of those around us — without losing our emotional balance by falling into self-indulgent dissolution and despair. There is little clarity at the end of this week. No clear set of instructions to follow. There is only a plodding, methodical process to follow as we 'trudge' ahead, trying to emerge from the foggy, Neptunian atmosphere. Next week begins with the Sun's entrance into Aries, which may begin to offer us a new sense of courage and an independent 'spirit' to further encourage us to express our unique, individual perspective to the world around us.

Sunday's Sun-Neptune conjunction sets the tone for the entire week. We may find ourselves in an inescapable fog bank or stirred by incredible inspiration. There are burdensome demands that are felt on Monday. Manipulation may seem like our only route to stability. The VOC Moon on Tuesday seems to encourage a swirl of ego-based fears or grandiose illusions. Wednesday's Virgo Moon provides patient determination to follow through on demonstrating our individual perspective. Nonetheless, we may feel sensitive or uncertain. There may be some deep wounds exposed. There is some tendency to self-indulgence or lethargy on Thursday. There is some temptation to rely on the idealized power of others. There is a need for balance on Friday, along with the need for a genuine respect for the perspectives of others. We can be more compassionate about the views of others when we are honest about our own pain and challenges. Clarity is lacking on Saturday. A lack of decisiveness takes a toll. Nothing feels 'familiar'.
