Virgo Full Moon
Virgo Full Moon - New Commitments
"Sometimes I arrive just when God's ready to have someone click the shutter."
— Ansel Adams
Mercury has returned to direct motion in free-thinking Aquarius this week, retracing the path of the retrograde phase. With Mercury direct, we may feel spontaneous urges to leap to quick conclusions or take quick action but timing is everything and we may not truly be ready to commit to a new course of action. As we move towards the Virgo Full Moon (12:17 AM PST 8° Virgo/Pisces) which occurs just after midnight on Saturday morning, we find ourselves continuing to follow an important review process that requires us to dispatch any doubts or uncertainty before we move forward. There is a flurry of confusing or conflicting information at the beginning of the week that triggers some emotional uncertainty which needs to be carefully unwound and sorted through. We are preparing to move into entirely new terrain and 'put the past behind us'. Our emotional challenges are tied to attachments to our past, to our traditions, and to old precedent that seems to keep us from fully committing to an entirely new course. But to get down to the real challenges of breaking new ground, we need to process our emotional uncertainty though honest interaction with others. The truth is that the current environment demands broad changes inspired by innovative new insights but we need to prepare ourselves properly both intellectually and emotionally. A mid-week Mars-Pluto trine helps us to stir our courage and resolve. There is a building imperative to incorporate broad, humanitarian concerns. Innovative new initiatives demand careful, methodical planning and strategy and an ever-expanding perspective. We need to pay close attention to the feedback we receive from others and look for ways to build bridges of understanding and compassion, which help us to process our uncertainty and move beyond it. By Thursday, Venus arrives in compassionate Pisces, where she is exalted and we might expect to feel a bit more comfortable. However, the overall effect may seem as though we have arrived in a wilderness that may seem quite beautiful but also disorienting. The magnitude of the challenges before us begin to loom large We find that we need to move past haphazard visionary brainstorming and get down to brass tacks and practical solutions. By the end of the week, as we move past the Virgo Full Moon, it is finally time to take a stand with a clear and specific position and avoid the temptation to hedge our bets.
The VOC Moon on Sunday leads to a flurry of confusing or conflicting information that may encourage us to jump to premature conclusions. Monday's Cancer Moon leads us down a road of emotion and uncertainty as we begin to contemplate the need to leave the past behind and begin to forge an entirely new path. There is a building imperative on Tuesday to move beyond our emotional doubts and set aside the intransigence over setting aside past precedent. New planning and initiatives are stirred by the Leo Moon on Wednesday. A potent Mars-Pluto trine provides extra courage and resolve. Venus arrives in Pisces on Thursday. Euphoria is mixed with confusion in a somewhat comfortable wilderness full of new possibilities. The Virgo Moon on Friday brings increased awareness of the need for practical plans and strategies. By Saturday, we are pressured to set aside any residual emotional blind spots and make clear and definitive commitments to a specific course or plan.
