Taurus New Moon - Leadership

"Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like."

— Lao Tzu

This Wednesday's Taurus New Moon (7:25 PM PDT 3° Taurus) brings the desire to make important connections and find new ways to assume leadership roles by offering practical plans and processes. However, there are challenges to our confidence levels along with sudden and unexpected shifts in our awareness. Whatever awareness and uniquely independent solutions we discover are somehow held back until we find ways to make our case effectively. Curiosity and learning are well supported but seem to provoke a significant amount of restlessness and impatience. If we are only able to show our impatience or defensiveness, we quickly lose our credibility — along with any chance of making the kinds of connections we are trying to make. Even so, there are some promising openings that allow us to radiate our individual inspiration in ways that draw others toward our ideas. Arm-twisting or heavy-handed insistence will only weaken our case. This process may be especially difficult because of the growing concern over how others see us. Curiosity and restlessness keep us stirred up. We desperately want to make connections but moving past our self-doubts is a challenging process that demands patience and self-control. Ultimately, the new lunar cycle suggests an extremely promising process which, guided by inspiration and awareness, is productive of learning and surprising intellectual advancement. Practical approaches are supported by the Taurus Sun. However, as Venus begins to slow down in Gemini, we may find ourselves struggling with distractions and other imbalances. Sudden and unexpected surprises can either keep us stirred up and impatient or inspire us towards even more exciting, yet practical, innovations.

The Sun arrives in Taurus on Sunday morning, increasing our persistence. However, a 'go-it-alone' approach leaves little room for cooperation. Restless and independence keep us stirred up on Monday. Intuition and intellectual insights are hard to communicate effectively. Individual inspiration and insight is more easily shared on Tuesday — mysteriously radiating through increased levels of confidence. Practical approaches seem to gain an important foothold. Wednesday's Taurus New Moon offers promising new connections that blend smoothly with independent inspiration. Given some time, the new lunar cycle will help us to find new leaders and new, practical approaches. Defensiveness could put our credibility on the line on Thursday. The restless curiosity could uncover false or misleading information. Generosity is powerful on Friday but may be tripped up when we are overly concerned with what others think of us. Self-doubt and uncertainty may contribute to misunderstandings and miscommunications. Pluto stations retrograde on Saturday, slowing our ability to push forward on some initiatives. Nonetheless, the overall atmosphere is amiable and pleasant. Practical approaches from new leaders show great promise.
