This week raises important 'checks and balances' which require that we demonstrate responsibility in the way we are exercising our freedom, independence and autonomy. There is very little willingness to abide the expression of any freedom and independence without also seeing the requisite responsibility. The challenges to our personal freedom will inevitably expose any feelings of inadequacy or any lack of self-esteem. It may not be easy to avoid some defensiveness. Nonetheless, the raw materials are available to make important adjustments. When we are willing to explore and innovate in response to valid questions and challenges, we are strengthened and our efforts can become more productive. However, there is also a danger that we will respond with willful arrogance, become overwhelmed by our sense of inadequacy, or collapse into hopelessness and pessimism. There is a great deal of sensitivity in this atmosphere, along with a high degree of protectiveness. We are particularly disinclined to share our precious creative vision for fear that we will meet with the very challenges and input that may be unavoidable this week but which will ultimately help to spur us on to greater achievements. Courage is required in order to stay with the process, which may have us feeling as though our sensitive feelings are being run through a 'meat-grinder'. The Taurus Full Moon on Friday (10:22 PM PDT 11° Taurus/Scorpio) brings the intensity to a peak.

Sunday's VOC Moon keeps us off balance until the evening when the Moon arrives in Pisces at 4:46 PM PDT and some exciting creative possibilities surface. Sensitivity and defensiveness could be particularly noticeable on Monday but may seem to come out of nowhere. The sensitivity grows on Tuesday and feelings of inadequacy or lack of self-esteem are likely to be more obvious. We are challenged to open up enough to talk through the bubbling sensitivity on Wednesday but there is an attitude of independence and very little interest in conforming to any one else's guidance. However, we are also more aware of our need to gain other's support so the tension is quite palpable. The importance of responsibility is made clear on Thursday as we continue to pursue the desire for independence and autonomy. Friday evening's Taurus Full Moon brings the struggle for independence to a peak in an atmosphere where any lack of responsibility is sure to undercut our freedom. Sensitivity returns on Saturday and some may feel overwhelmed by pessimism. On the other hand there may also be a tendency towards obstinate, willful arrogance that defies any demand for responsibility that might limit our freedom.
