Spring Equinox

Spring Equinox - Growing Force

"Do I contradict myself? Very well, then I contradict myself.
I am large;
I contain multitudes."

— Walt Whitman

We arrive at the Spring Equinox at the end of this week when the Sun emerges from the sensitive waters of Pisces for the passionate fire of Aries. A strong Piscean influence was super-charged by last week's Pisces New Moon (2:21 AM PST 23° Pisces). This week we navigate a wide range of Piscean tendencies.. Vague inspirations, emotional vulnerability, and intuitive vision may suggest a significant amount of confusion and chaos. Faith and detachment are needed to navigate the week's ups and downs. There are periods of unstable intensity and periods of dreamy, easy-going inspiration where we may seem to just float along. Mercury left the shadow phase of the last retrograde period just before last week's Pisces New Moon and arrives in Pisces on Monday. A Mercury-Pallas conjunction this week helps us to finally resolve some of the conflicting insights from the last retrograde phase (January 30th - February 21) and begin to create 'order out of the chaos'. Nonetheless, our emotional sensitivity and strong psychic/intuitive insights continue to be stirred and there are times this week when we face significant frustration when we try to actually explain what we know — or think we know. A mid-week Mars-Chiron sextile does offer some help in our ability to more clearly communicate our insights. Chiron's influence helps to improve empathy levels which leads to more space to honestly acknowledge the challenges of communicating our evolving understanding and insight. As well, Mars is approaching a trine to Saturn which will perfect shortly after the Spring Equinox, leading to improved self-discipline and a willingness to work towards actually corralling our ideas into a workable framework and nailing down specifics. In essence, this week's 'process' may seem very 'messy', with contradictions and a lack of clarity. However, it is, in fact, a process that we will need to trust using the determined faith of Pisces to ground us in deeper understanding and an expanding perspective.

A Venus-Juno square on Sunday may lead to frustration with the lack of specificity. There are important spiritual elements to be recognized and honored. There is a stirring emotional intensity building on Monday. If we can manage to remain detached, we may actually be seen as lacking compassion or concern. Mercury arrives in Pisces. A Sun-Pluto sextile on Tuesday helps to deescalate Monday's tension. As tensions ease, we begin to recognize that there are more course corrections to undertake. Wednesday's Mars-Chiron sextile brings us to an important point of clarification and resolution. We may feel especially sensitive to any past mistakes. There are some 'open channels' to Universal wisdom on Thursday, if we can 'tune in' to them. Things may seem to fall into place spontaneously, with little apparent effort. The Piscean influence reaches a significant peak on Friday. There is the potential for a heightened feeling of abandon or lack of inhibition that could have some appearing to be 'untethered'. As Mars approaches the trine to Saturn on Saturday, we begin to find more productive lines of communication. The Spring Equinox points towards an effort to bringing together our ideas into something like an effective framework for future progress.
