Sagittarius-Gemini Full Moon
Sagittarius-Gemini Full Moon - The Big Picture
"All that is made seems planless to the darkened mind, because there are more plans than it looked for."
— C.S. Lewis, Perelandra
This week's Sagittarius-Gemini Full Moon on Tuesday (7:19 AM PDT 8° Sagittarius/Gemini) challenges us to look for a Big Picture perspective on the transitions initiated by the New Moon on May 15th and especially the shift of Uranus from Aries to Taurus — which occurred at the same time. While we may still be dealing from some of last week's emotional turmoil and insecurity, we are guided towards finding an intellectual framework that we can use to get ourselves organized and begin learning how to come to terms with the vastly changed landscape. As we work on integrating emotions with intellect, we may be surprised by the aggressiveness we see in ourselves or others. There are ego elements at work that seem to drive us to try to prove something. However, we should be very careful not to get 'out over our skis' trying to prove things we aren't yet sure of. We run into some extended periods where the Moon is VOC this week when we could find ourselves heading down some dead ends that aren't very easy to get back from. The tempting side roads we see this week are likely to encourage us to set unrealistic goals, rather than lead us toward exciting new discoveries. As our 'Big Picture' perspective begins to develop, we feel increasing pressure to actually make a tangible beginning — 'lay a cornerstone' (or something). Although we may feel a bit shy about producing something tangible, the building pressure is just about right to keep us focused directly on the tasks at hand — which will lead us into the future we've begun to envision.
Last week's insecurities ease significantly on Sunday. Our intellect begins to take over from emotions. Nonetheless, it isn't to get the mix (intellect and emotions) just right. The urge to find a broader perspective begins to emerge on Monday. By Tuesday's Sagittarius/Gemini Full Moon, the Big Picture perspective takes over from the emotional insecurities and intellectual detachment — helping us to take a step back and let go of needing to be right. We may endure a temporary derailment on Wednesday. We should avoid the temptation to meddle impatiently and just stand back from the chaos. Our emotions become rather restricted and pressurized on Thursday but the pressure is really just geared towards bringing forward some tangible progress. On Friday, Mercury trines Mars just after Mercury's arrival in Gemini. Our intellect quickens but our curiosity could quickly lead us astray. By Saturday afternoon, the pressure eases and we find a rather congenial atmosphere once the Moon arrives in Aquarius around 3 PM PDT.
