Pisces New Moon
Pisces New Moon - Intuitive Inspiration
"I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it."
— Pablo Picasso
We begin this week with a Pisces New Moon (1:00 AM PST 20° Pisces) that offers both a great deal of intuitive insight as well as some uniquely innovative intellectual inspiration. The challenge is to maintain enough patience in order to 'learn' how to navigate in this new environment produced by the new lunar cycle. Mercury's arrival in Aries at the end of last week, just ahead of the New Moon, has stirred a confident, pioneering spirit. The waning Mars-Uranus square is likely to increase the drive to get moving and make quick progress. However, whatever confidence we have will be quickly tempered. We will soon recognize that we don't actually have the necessary skills, abilities, or capabilities to make the kind of quick progress that we want to make. Patience is required in order to take the time we need to better understand how to effectively fold the wealth of intuitive, innovative, inspired idealism into an intellectual framework that will allow us to bring our ideas forward and take direct action. The Pisces Sun approaches Neptune all week, completing the conjunction just after the week ends. This creates a heightened potential for confusion and some tendency to see, in the fog, some 'dark shadows' — vague threats or imagined wrongs that may loom large in our awareness. Venus arrives in Pisces on Monday and, although Venus is 'exalted' in Pisces, we don't really 'feel the glow'. Rather, our sensitivity increases, which can easily compound the feeling that 'the glass is half-empty' or the 'dark shadows' are actually real threats. Faith is needed in order to keep moving forward, perhaps using 'trial and error' in order to learn new skills and expand our abilities. We may sometimes even need to 'learn the hard way' but, by the end of the week, the environment offers intellectual breakthroughs and increased optimism. The raw materials — creativity and innovation — are available to explore the unfamiliar areas that we need to explore in order to make the progress that we want to make. As the 'dark shadows' begin to dissolve, we can begin to collect the skills we need to move ahead productively. The pioneering confidence of Mercury in Aries begins to gain more traction. We can begin to develop the intellectual framework that is necessary for innovation and the initiation of exciting new ideas.
Sensitivity goes hand-in-hand with creativity in the Sunday's environment. Impatience and over-optimism can quickly increase sensitivity and stall our efforts. Obstacles seem too big or too confusing on Monday. Idealism is on full display but we are very sensitive to any stumbling blocks or individual inadequacy. Impatience produces reckless attempts to get things moving prematurely on Tuesday. We may be inclined to blame others or just walk away. Individual lack of ability or capacity becomes more apparent on Wednesday. We recognize the need to learn new skills are develop more capacity. We may face some troubling 'dark shadows' on Thursday or pessimistically determine that 'the glass is half-empty'. Imagination may be helpful or troublesome. Creativity and innovation emerges from the dark clouds of suspicion on Friday. We find a welcome environment for intellectual breakthroughs. We get a clear view of what we need to get our innovative ideas off the ground on Saturday. We may see some erratic or surprising actions later in the day.
