Pisces-Gemini- Describing the Indescribable

"Hope is definitely not the same thing as optimism. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out."

— Vaclav Havel

The Sun's arrival in Gemini this week, joining Venus and Mercury, places a great deal of focus on a curious pursuit of new information. The Sun trines Pluto early in the week, deepening our search for answersthe truth. However, the Gemini influences are challenged by the Sun's square to Jupiter, now in Pisces and Mercury's square to Neptune, also in Pisces. The Pisces-Gemini 'axis' explores the challenges of 'describing the indescribable'. The flow of information may be overwhelming or, alternatively, exhilarating this week. However, we have difficulty clearly articulating what we are seeing and learning. We may find ourselves floundering in vague and confusing rhetoric. Nonetheless, optimism explodes by midweek and although there is certainly a need for caution, we aren't likely to be slowed down or see the need to be cautious. We should remember that Mercury is slowing down to turn retrograde on May 29th. By the end of the week, Mercury makes the first of 3 squares to Neptune which brings the swirl of ideas and information to a crescendo in an extremely optimistic environment. The information we find may be very enticing but we aren't quite sure exactly what to do with it. Saturn also makes its station to turn retrograde by the end of the week and, in some fashion or another, we begin to throw up guardrails or road blocks — based on our own preconceptions — to what information we will and won't accept. Although we may appear to continue to listen, our minds are slowly closing. There are really only hints, this week, of the fog bank of confusion we are approaching under the coming retrograde Mercury. Of course, the Piscean influences of Neptune and Jupiter are extremely enticing and inspirational. Imagination and creative exploration are in full swing this week. It may very well be an excellent time to dream big but we should not allow our optimism to take us too far. We will need to be willing to acknowledge that we don't really know for sure how our dreams will come to pass — or if they will actually come to fruition at all. None of this confusion actually takes away from the powerful initiative that we were provided by last week's Taurus New Moon. The question is how well can we navigate the temptations of this enticing over optimism and confusing swirl of information without losing touch with that kernel of stable inspiration that we found at the beginning of this lunar cycle.

The atmosphere on Sunday is quite benevolent even though there is considerable pressure to dig deep for answers. Obsession may take us down some 'rabbit holes'. Our egos get involved in our pursuit of 'truth' on Monday as the Moon arrives in Leo. We have some tendency to 'see what we want to see'. There is a desire to draw conclusions on Tuesday and settle down to a definitive course of action. However, there are not many clear indicators that really help us to clarify our intentions and so we continue to 'review the situation'. A Venus-Saturn trine on Wednesday may help us to steady our thinking a bit. We may also find some helpful 'teachers' or allies that serve to keep us on track. The Sun arrives in Gemini on Thursday and heads into a square to Jupiter, spurring some potential for over-optimism. Even though there is confusion all around, what we think we see is so enticing that we have a hard time trying to remember that we should stay cautious. Friday's heady atmosphere is a bit overwhelming. The Moon is VOC for much of the afternoon, when information is particularly unreliable. There are some twists on Saturday that may help to remind us that we can't really count on our optimistic outlook to carry us forward.
