Pisces Full Moon - Compassion and Confusion
"Do you know, it's funny, but I never thought of being blind as a disadvantage, and I never thought of being black as a disadvantage."
— Stevie Wonder
There is a great deal of confusion, combined with compassion and concern, suggested by this Wednesday's Pisces Full Moon (7° Pisces/Virgo 6:35 PM PDT). Mars arrives in Libra at the beginning of the week, under the rulership of the retrograding Venus in Leo. Mars can seem quite frustrated in Libra, encouraging us to try to get others to do what we can't do. The retrograding Venus in 'ego-centric' Leo, increases the pressure on us to find some way to achieve our individual goals. But there is also considerable concern over the plight of others — those who are disadvantaged — suggesting significant altruism. Many will put their efforts towards trying to achieve the 'greatest good for the greatest number'. However, our individual efforts are hampered under the Libra Mars. Even if our aims are altruistic, action is not nearly as productive this week as careful consideration and empathetic listening. Uranus stations retrograde early in the week, bringing the number of retrograding bodies to a whopping 7. The retrograding Uranus urges us to look for some new sense of stability. However, in this atmosphere, we may confuse ourselves into believing that we need to concern ourselves with the stability of others. We need to follow the process of reorganization before we can begin building for a more stable future. Buried somewhere in our subconscious are the seeds of knowledge to plan a New Way Forward. In that 'New Way', we can hope to recognize the importance of honestly voicing our own needs in order to strengthen the cooperative, collaborative efforts of the 'larger whole'. But first we need to get organized. The overall thrust of the culminating lunar cycle is actually cleanup. We need to remove the debris of the past — and organize our thoughts — before we can hope to effectively plan to move forward. Perhaps the most hopeful development of the week is an increasingly reliable intuitive capacity. If we can spend most of our time listening and learning from what others are telling us, (instead of futilely struggling to take premature actions) our wisdom will be enhanced and we will find that our thinking is becoming more organized and effective. Mercury is retrograding back to trine Jupiter, promising the potential for expanding perspectives and increasing wisdom. Before we can take the sorts of actions that may think are needed, we need to take the time to organize our thoughts, actively listen to the insights that others are sharing, and clear away the debris of our individual pasts.
There is a desire for stability on Sunday but we need to aim for reorganization instead of actively trying to build for the future. We'll do better to seek to establish cooperative alliances and connections that will serve us in the future. We find smooth detachment and sharp insights on Monday. The desire for stability may conflict with a desire for comfort. Tuesday's atmosphere is generally optimistic and generous. Imperatives increase but the effectiveness of individual action is hampered. The confusion on Wednesday may lead to misguided compassion. The needs of others tend to distract us from what we need to do for ourselves. We can gain a great deal of wisdom by simply listening on Thursday. We need to keep our focus on reorganization. There are surprising benefits available on Friday. While independent action doesn't seem to produce the results we would like, we may have some success getting others to make some headway for us. Communication is surprisingly effective on Saturday. We have some help separating our own concerns from the concerns that we believe that others have — or should have.
