Mercury Turns Direct - Reviewing The Research

"When you talk, you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new."

— Dali Lama

We cover a whole lot of ground this week. The long round of paralyzing uncertainty begins to fade into the background. However, we need to be willing to open the doors to outside input and new ideas in order to make the most of this week's opportunities and begin to establish the kind of tangible stability we're looking for. The shifts are significant. Mars leaves abrasively indecisive Libra for 'determined' Scorpio and the Sun leaves 'controlled' Scorpio for expansive and courageous Sagittarius. As well, Mercury turns direct ruling a Virgo Moon on Wednesday, giving extra power to the important details that Mercury has unearthed during it's retrograde motion in Scorpio. This week's shifts will become much more tangible once we arrive at next week's New Moon (November 26th, 7:05 AM PST 4° Sagittarius), so this is actually of week for getting organized, laying groundwork and resuming our efforts to build coalitions and alliances. A forming Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius contributes to a feeling of expansiveness and brings a philosophical attitude that can enhance our enjoyment of this week's shifts which serve to ease the ongoing uncertainty. We may have the feeling that 'the tables have turned'. However, the Venus-Jupiter conjunction can also become the 'fly in the ointment' of this week's powerful shifts. We may miss important opportunities if we only absorb the goodwill and don't actively engage with others to gain the inspiration and guidance that we need in order to make the most of this environment.

We have the chance to disperse any residual doubts and frustrations from last week's Full Moon on Sunday. Once we've had our say, we'll do better to just 'let go' and move on. Our sense of direction is 'fuzzy' on Monday and, although we feel strong determination, we aren't very clear on how to actually 'get there'. Although there may seem to be strong opinions and firmly held positions on Tuesday, there is room for 'de-escalation'. The stubbornness from the last Full Moon begins to break down. Mercury turns direct on Wednesday and the tables turn as we gain a new perspective on the details that have emerged during the retrograde period. We need to source our inspiration through interaction with others on Thursday. The more that we can open up to input, the more productive we will be. On Friday, the best way to get off the fence and make progress is through an open and honest sharing of ideas. We are likely to find more agreement than we have expected. Creativity and inspiration abound on Saturday, further enhanced by a robust give and take of ideas. By taking advantage of Saturday's opportunities, we can lay important groundwork for next week's New Moon.
