Mercury Station - Confusion
"God is, even though the whole world deny him. Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self-sustained."
— Mahatma Gandhi
We begin to feel the confusion emanating from the Mercury station and impending retrograde period in Pisces beginning next week. We continue to carry the powerful inspiration of last month's Venus-Neptune conjunction square Mars. Our vision is enduring and determined but we hit a fog bank when we begin to work on building collaborative alliances and engendering support. Under the Mercury Station, mental confusion is beginning to cloud our attempts to articulately make our case. Eventually, intuition will step in to bring a better sense of direction but this week is fraught with discouraging challenges that test our creative determination. Aggressiveness is not effective in our attempts to convince others or gather support for our vision or goals. We may be dealing with significant uncertainty, begin to question our vision, or become impatient that others can't clearly understand what we're trying to convey. Flexibility will be helpful in this environment but maintaining our integrity is crucial. We should not abandon our principles, goals, or vision, just to please others. The level of underlying determination is enduring and won't give up on us just because we would like to give up and walk away when we don't get the support that we're looking for. This week takes us through an important — albeit confusing — process where we need to allow things to gel: the fluidity of our ideas, goals, or vision needs time to solidify so that we really do have the stable foundation we need in order to move forward.
The Venus-Chiron conjunction on Sunday lacks continuity and increases idealism. The atmosphere is free-wheeling and spontaneous. Uncertainty has us looking for a greater authority on Monday. Self-doubt may have us questioning the veracity of our goals or vision. Plans change quickly on Tuesday and disruptions are likely. The heightened levels of confusion is a breeding ground for impatience. Tempting distractions on Wednesday keep us unsteady and uncertain. Questions seem like challenges to the value and importance of our goals. However, self-discipline is required in order to methodically frame the message we are trying to articulate. Thursday's challenges boil down to finding support for our approach, goals, or vision. Although our determination has never been stronger, external support seems to further ebb. By Friday, we increase the aggressiveness of our approach. Unfortunately, the results are disappointing and our impatience grows. A congenial atmosphere serves to soften the impatience on Saturday. The confusion keeps us on edge but there are signs that intuition is beginning to take over and help guide us to our desired goals and outcomes.
