Mercury Retrograde Territory - Bombast

We begin the week with optimism but also perhaps a bit too much idealism that has us setting up expectations that won't necessarily be satisfied. Mercury has entered retrograde territory — in the shadow phase of the next Mercury Retrograde period from July 7th through August 1st. We may be prone to bombast and exaggeration after Mercury arrives in Leo on Wednesday. However, once Mercury returns to Cancer on July 19th, we may be inclined to regret some of this exaggeration. We are working through a gestation period this week, prior to next week's Cancer New Moon (12:16 PM PDT 10° Cancer). There is a Moon-Mars mutual reception during the early part of the week as the Moon transits Aries (Tuesday and Wednesday). Although we are dealing with an overly idealistic atmosphere, there is room to keep pushing for the best we are hoping for. Relationships may be strained by the intensity of the efforts we are inclined to put forth. Nonetheless, Providence — or luck — seems to allow us to get further than seemed possible as we seek to make the most of our creative inspiration. Our determined push towards satisfying our inflated expectations reaches a crescendo on Friday. We end the week with some sense of satisfaction even if we don't get everything we'd hoped for. By the end of the week, the sense that we are approaching a significant turning point is unmistakable.

Optimism is high on Sunday but may lead to overly idealistic expectations. Just a bit of self-discipline will help to keep our feet on the ground. Inflated expectations unravel on Monday. Extravagance is exposed. Nonetheless, we find opportunities to continue our effort to make the most of any disappointments — essentially we have the chance to take another run at manifesting our idealistic inspiration. The Moon-Mars mutual reception on Tuesday encourages us to keep pushing to get what we want — even if it means creating increased tension in our relationships. Activity is heightened on Wednesday. Although relationships continue to be strained, the overriding emphasis is on making one more push for making our dreams come true. Thursday's Taurus Moon seems to produce some obstacles that slow us down. However, determination continues to be strong. Calculated risks may produce surprising successes! We finally ease up on the accelerator on Friday and relationship tensions are eased. By Saturday, it seems clear that we're on the verge of embarking on a new and exciting new course.
