Pisces Full Moon - Shifting Support
"We must be willing to let go of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us."
— Joseph Campbell
Mercury is slowing down all week and will turn retrograde on Friday, just ahead of Saturday's early morning Pisces Full Moon (2:58 AM PDT 17° Pisces/Virgo). Pluto, Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, Chiron, and Uranus are already retrograde. With Mercury turning retrograde, a 'Re-Evaluation' process is fully underway. For the most part, our focus has been veering towards reviewing the past. This week, we begin to understand how last week's swirl of chaos has begun to shift our focus away from the past and towards the future. The swirl of chaos has represented a 'Re-Alignment' that is beginning to shift our focus towards making preparations for what is coming — 'for the future'. The message of the retrograding Mercury in Libra encourages us to find a balanced perspective between the lessons of our past and the uncertainty, promise, and hopes for our future. Of course, both the 'past' and the 'future', from a metaphysical perspective, are simply artificially constructed intellectual illusions that distract us from the 'Now'. From this 'Now', we join together the past and the future, observing how the actions and lessons of our past are directly informing the decisions that will create our future. As we approach Saturday's Full Moon, it is perhaps most important to understand who and what we can safely rely upon. In general, there is a sense that we need to find some kind of security. However, from our perspective at the Full Moon, we are likely to recognize a number of weaknesses in our overall support network. We will need to be sure that we haven't placed too much reliance on any single source of support. Mercury retrograde in Libra will help us to restore the balance in any areas where we are too dependent. Ultimately, we will need to understand that our most reliable support will not be found in others but will only be found through the cornerstone principles upon which we are creating our future.
We get a taste of something stable and secure on Sunday while the Moon approaches a trine to Venus. Venus moves into Virgo, which helps us to put the 'brakes' on overly-optimistic idealism. A slower tempo suggests a new sense of order on Monday. However, we may not feel as though we have reached the place we had hoped to be. Exploration and individual initiative on Tuesday opens the doors to remarkable new insights. Nonetheless, we may not be inclined to shout those new insights 'from the rooftops'. There is a tangible awareness of a shift in our focus on Wednesday. We can begin to pull together the experiences from our past in order to begin to move forward with an eye to our future. Thursday brings some significant — albeit temporary — confusion. Too many ideas are swirling around which are hard to pin down or clarify. Friday's Pisces Moon seems to increase our sensitivity. A clear breakthrough or tangible forward progress continues to elude us and there is some tendency to discouragement or disappointment. We do seem to arrive a turning place on Saturday. A Moon-Pluto sextile signals opportunities for rebirth and transformation which brings a more realistic, grounded perspective.
