This week takes us through the most challenging phase of the Retrograde Mercury but, by Friday, we begin to get a glimmer of what it's all been about and where we're heading. The Moon's light, following last Saturday's New Moon (January 9th - 19° Capricorn), may seem particularly dim and there is an undercurrent of impatience driven by the contained energy of Mars in Scorpio. As we wade further into this new year, Mercury's station on the cusp between Capricorn and Aquarius intensifies the feeling that we are transitioning to something new and exciting. However, since there are still significant elements of an old framework in place, we need to work within the established order as we make plans for this grand renovation. [...]
Our attention turns to practical approaches and tangible progress this week. Personal interactions seem to hinge on trust, compromise and a hospitable acceptance of the perspectives of others. Some may find that they have put too much trust in others or assumed agreement when there were significant differences. Nonetheless, there are remarkable, philosophical openings that allow many of these discrepancies to be cleared up and sorted out. As we come to the end of 2015, a year of streamlining and letting go, we are likely to find some practical solutions to some particularly challenging situations, allowing us to release the issues and move on. The last New Moon (December 11th, 19° Sagittarius) initiated a rather chaotic process of observing and sorting through a variety of choices, new ideas and new information in order to find a workable new approach based on our current situation and the facts on the ground. This week brings us to the culmination of that process with a Christmas morning Cancer/Capricorn Full Moon. [...]
We begin the week trying to establish and maintain a sense of balance following last week's New Moon, which helped to clear the decks and began our search for an entirely new approach. We seem to be wandering in a wilderness of possibility, intuitive inspiration and high idealism. It may be quite difficult to stay closely in tune with the actual, tangible facts on the ground and some strong frustrations could easily build throughout the week as we seek to make a personal impact on a particularly chaotic environment.
