There's plenty of chaotic unpredictability left in this week's atmosphere following last week's Pisces Eclipse Full Moon (9:18 PM PDT 4° Pisces/Virgo), which was in a tight square to Uranus in Gemini. Nonetheless, there is also plenty of support to productively engage with the amped up energy through enhanced intellectual capacity and the clever integration of enthusiasm and self-control. Jupiter reaches a trine to Saturn from Leo to Aries, which suggests a powerful balance between inspiration and disciplined 'follow through'. Adding to the intensity of the Jupiter-Saturn trine is the injection of martian aggressiveness through a Mars-Saturn square that coincides with the Jupiter-Saturn trine. With Mars in Cancer ruling Saturn in Aries, the Mars-Saturn square encourages us to 'take it to the limit' — push our capacity to the edge in order to gain some kind of advantage. We could also see a self-interested desire to acquire perhaps just a little bit more than our 'fair share'. There are dangerous temptations to play games with these powerful energies. Mercury incorporates intellectual excitement into the environment through a sextile to Mars and a quincunx to Saturn. But Mercury's involvement also suggests that we may be easily tempted into using clever tricks that may — or may not — be honorable or responsible. Balance and self-control are crucial to 'holding the reigns' and staying productive. The Mars-Saturn square certainly seems to make the notion of 'maintaining control' seem uncomfortable — perhaps even insulting. Nonetheless, 'the search is on' to find new angles, new information, and to make new plans that incorporate the broadly balanced support offered by the Jupiter-Saturn trine. The main challenge is overcoming the rebellious, nervous energy which is both inspiring and distracting. As the Moon wanes in light, there are at least a few 'glimmers' of a more altruistic approach which offers encouraging signs of cooperation. Next Thursday's Virgo New Moon (8:26 PM PDT 18° Virgo) will offer a remarkable dose of humility that is already beginning to formulate as we move through the week. With the Sun and Mercury in Virgo and Venus in Libra, we are offered important messages telling us that there is always more to know and understand through our interactions with others. Those interactions can help us to recognize what it is that we need to understand 'next' in our learning process — staying connected to others and staying in the moment while resisting the urge to get ahead of ourselves. We may feel the need to separate ourselves from others in order to protect our freedom. However, when we can find the willingness — the humility — to listen to others without harsh judgement or fear, we will find that there are opportunities for new understanding that we might not have expected.

There is a strong desire to take action but numerous challenges to contend with on Sunday when we try to move ahead. Our intellect is challenged and our patience is 'thin'. We're inclined to push our capacity to the edge on Monday in order to gain some kind of advantage or acquire perhaps just a little bit more than our 'fair share'. There are dangerous temptations to play games with the energy by using clever tricks that may or may not be honorable or responsible. Tuesday's overnight environment is fraught with challenges and pitfalls that seem to stir our minds and produce some significant tensions to contend with. There are at least 'glimmers' of a somewhat altruistic approach. There is most likely to be a 'stuck' feeling permeating most of Wednesday's atmosphere — subtle discomforts that don't easily yield to soothing. Nonetheless, there are also important opportunities for regaining our balance. Thursday's power may either seem quite obvious or rather understated. The main challenge is controlling the nervous energy that is both inspiring and distracting. There is a strong feeling of freedom on Friday that requires responsibility in order to take advantage of the intellectual insights. Progress may seem rather slow. There is an increased desire for stability on Saturday. Disruptions to that stability are especially unwelcome but we may feel a strong inclination to 'tug on the leash' — resist any sort of control.
