With the Sun's entrance into Aries at the end of last week, we've begun a New Solar Year and, this week, we feel the strong urge to clear the slate and make a fresh start. However, it doesn't take long to recognize the need for balance as Wednesday morning's Full Moon (3° Libra/Aries 5 AM PDT) brings with it a broadening awareness of the dangers inherent in excesses and going to extremes. This week gets off to kind of a rocky start. The stellium in Pisces is showering compassion and intuition but not everyone will see the blessings. Many feel only confusion and some hazy concerns that we should be able to do more in order to fix things. Communication is the challenge. However, as the week goes on, it becomes easier to recognize that the words are less important that the feelings behind the words. [...]
We reach a peak of mutable, chaotic energy this week with Tuesday's New Moon (5:54 PM PST 18° Pisces/Virgo) opposing Jupiter and squaring Saturn. It is extraordinarily difficult to maintain our focus under a barrage of idealism that is challenged by skepticism and self-doubt. However, Chiron's conjunction with the New Moon helps to bring opportunities for healing and profound resolutions. [...]
There are significant adjustments underway this week. Intellect overshadows last week's emotional, fatalistic tone but we are still likely to struggle to organize our thoughts. By the end of the week, Mercury moves out of Aquarius into Pisces and Mars leaves Scorpio for Sagittarius. The Sun and Moon both set off the building Saturn/Jupiter Square, forming a chaotic, mutable T-Square that challenges us to be more clear and specific in articulating our ideas, insights and beliefs. The Full Moon on Monday (10:19 AM PST 3° Virgo/Pisces) throws us a curve ball of emotion and vulnerability. Although there may be quite a bit of confusion or hazy situations which seem to challenge our resolve and self-confidence, there may not be nearly as much to worry about as we think. Nonetheless, some may suddenly come to believe it's time to throw in the towel or succumb to a fatalistic sense of hopelessness. [...]
