Aquarius Full Moon
Aquarius Full Moon - Freedom Through Innovation
"But innovation comes from people meeting up in the hallways or calling each other at 10:30 at night with a new idea, or because they realized something that shoots holes in how we've been thinking about a problem."
— Steve Jobs
This week brings an Aquarius Full Moon (11:31 AM PDT 9° Aquarius/Leo) on Tuesday which centers our focus on creativity and innovation as a means of self-expression. We are offered breakthroughs and shifts in perspective which suggest sudden and surprising course adjustments. There are a wide variety of opportunities but over-optimism or sensitivity can quickly distract us from the tangible application of our new insights and understanding. We may be forced to face the limitations of our individual will power. Even so, we should not discount the importance of setting definitive, individual intentions that help us to describe our own unique 'voice'. Awareness is demanded — we need to Pay Attention! and not collapse into self-indulgent ego gratification. Individual shifts in perspectives are something like a 'wake up call'. Our self-image and self-esteem get a boost when we begin to get a better picture of exactly how we fit in with the world around us. However, when we act on our new perspectives, others may have difficulty adjusting. The general tone of optimism helps helps to offset some of the challenging vulnerabilities suggested by the retrograding Venus. The give and take of ideas is exciting but emotional vulnerabilities and blockages can block our progress. We need to acknowledge that emotional blocks can slow us down every bit as much as tangible, material blocks. The restructuring of our self-image could leave us vulnerable to flattery. Or we may put too much focus on gaining approval from others rather than focusing on internal support and self-affirmation. Which is not to suggest that we don't need others. The overall thrust of this environment is to encourage us to share our insights with others, interacting with those around with a new sense of mission and purpose. Our interactions can serve as a catalyst for our own creativity but only if we are willing to accept feedback and remain willing to reach compromise. In general, the challenge is to maintain a balance between practical understanding and innovative new ideas. Our work continues in terms of self-validation and faith in the value of our individual perspective and individual contribution. By branching out and sharing ideas with others this week, we reach new levels of innovative insights which, in turn, can strengthen our individual self-esteem.
Our individual will power is challenged on Sunday. We need to honor practicality and allow broader perspectives to inform our understanding. We are likely to be motivated to ask for or demand respect on Monday. This may be the result of severe challenges to our egos. There are significant shifts under Tuesday's Aquarius Full Moon. Some of the power and insight comes from new perspectives on our past experiences that bring us to surprising conclusions. Conflicts surface on Wednesday as we seek to adapt to the 'fallout' from the Full Moon. There may be some significant discomfort as we seek to understand why others aren't acting the way we expect them to act. There is a bit of optimism on Thursday that helps us to recognize that obstacles are encouraging innovation. However, we need to maintain practicality and not try to think 'outside the box' before we understand what's going on inside the box. Over-optimism or emotional vulnerability leaves us open to false flattery on Friday. We need to recognize that things have changed since the Full Moon and we need to pay close to attention. We have the opportunity to methodically process the week's shifts on Saturday. It is important to check-in with those around us and share our ideas and new perspectives.
