Weekly Astrology Forecast: May 10 - May 16
This week sets the tone for next week's New Moon and the retrograde Mercury period that begins next Tuesday, May 19th. We find an increased level of detachment this week, compared with the highly emotional intensity that surfaced last week. However, detachment doesn't fully serve to clarify our message or convince others of the validity of what we're saying. We're going to have to stay with the process and remain ready to accept that we can only improve the quality of our own message but we can't control what other people understand. Monday may provoke a significant amount of frustration, particularly when we are presented with some rather unusual options to sort through. Mars arrives in Gemini on Tuesday, encouraging lively debate but doing little to help us clarify our message. It is on Thursday that we may actually get a glimpse of the profound universal mechanisms that directly respond to the words we speak. As we sort through this atmosphere we are likely to discover a number of unexpressed expectations. Although we may struggle with unclear communication, we have the opportunity to gain broader understanding of how the words we speak actually impact our reality. The intense focus on Mercury and Gemini this week and for several weeks to come will increase the imperative to look at the way we communicate. Gemini also relates to breathing and the lungs. Issues with air pollution, along with opportunities to 'clear the air' are certain to become more prominent. The Mercury/Gemini influence also relates to short travel, such as commuting and shopping. We may discover intriguing new routes and new destinations while exploring our local neighborhood. Of course, Mercury's retrograde motion also suggests there may be a few detours to contend with.
