The week begins with a few challenges or disruptions as we reach the critical 1st quarter phase of last week's remarkable Winter Solstice New Moon (December 21, 5:39 PM PST 0° Capricorn). There is a distinct desire for reassurance that may encourage some of us to focus on appearances, rather than the stability of our position. The extra energy could easily push us towards impulsiveness or impatience, suggesting some temptation to try and take shortcuts or massage the truth for the sake of expedience. We may see some unexpected support from long-forgotten alliances on Monday that helps us to get past the need for reassurance and bolster our self-confidence. As we end the year of 2014 on Wednesday, a profound release is offered in a distinctly harmonious atmosphere that encourages more focus on broader efforts and less emphasis on purely self-serving intentions and goals. Nonetheless, many will continue to deal with impatience throughout the week as the desire to find some quick resolution seems overwhelming. NEW YEAR'S DAY offers the opportunity to balance intuition and intellect, provided we are able to maintain enough discipline to honor both approaches. By Friday, a search for perfection increases the tension even further, colliding directly with the impatient desire for quick resolutions. Venus moves into Aquarius on Saturday, offering at least a bit of detachment to ease the perfectionism. However, the push continues towards next week's Full Moon (January 4, 8:53 PM PST 14° Capricorn/Cancer), with an inescapable sense of impatience that needs to be tempered with cooperative effort and appreciation for whatever progress has already been made.
