Uranus-Pluto Square - Residual Triggers

This week steadily builds in intensity as we head toward next week's Full Moon on Monday, April 10th (11:08 PDT 21° Libra/Aries). Although the Uranus-Pluto square is now waning, it is strongly triggered by the Sun, Moon and Jupiter, producing more dramatic shifts brought on by a surprising series of crisis-driven events. Many of these shifts are likely to be felt on a deeply personal level, due to the long arc of the Venus/Saturn square. Communication feels chaotic and haphazard as we try to articulate a new sense of independence — it may seem like we're trying to describe the indescribable. Mercury is slowing down and will turn retrograde at the beginning of next week (April 9th), further complicating the communication challenges. Any traditions and beliefs that have only been handed down to us from others come under scrutiny. We are looking for ways to establish our own individual position which may or may not be consistent with those hand-me-down beliefs and principles. Relationships are challenged when those beliefs feel increasingly uncomfortable and out of touch with what we face — adjustments must be made. Adding to the mix, Saturn turns retrograde this week, increasing the scope of the unwinding process. Traditions which no longer serve their intended purpose are questioned with determined insistence.

Sunday's Cancer Moon puts a premium on loyalty, which is put to the test ahead of Monday's first-quarter Moon. With just a small dose of humility, we can find promising resolutions to the relationship challenges that are provoked by an increasingly skeptical attitude about exactly what we are supposed to believe and "who says so?" Tuesday's high energy levels could get us 'over amped', leading to an excessive use of force. We should begin to recognize the danger of taking anyone or anything for granted. The tendency to push too hard increases on Wednesday when things seem to stall out. It becomes more obvious just who our friends are and who may not really have our best interest at heart. Poise and self-confidence help to smooth the waters on Thursday, leading to some productive 'give-and-take'. By Friday, the intensity of the triggers to Uranus-Pluto Square are unmistakable. The damn breaks and there is a strong inclination to throw off inhibiting constraints, no matter the concern over safety and protocol, and just say what we think. However, we shouldn't be surprised with the significant push back from others. We really find ourselves in the thick of it on Saturday. The pressure to adapt or adjust is extraordinary. While the process may seem chaotic and haphazard, we seem to be compelled to stay focused on speaking our own unique truth, despite any push back from others.
