September Full Moon - Chaos Crescendo
Mercury moves back to conjunct the Sun early this week to form the so-called inferior conjunction, upping the stakes in the clean up efforts of this retrograde period and the waxing lunar cycle. We feel a strong imperative to strengthen our individual position. The pressure culminates at the end of the week, following Friday's powerful but chaotic September Full Moon (12:05 PM PDT 24° Pisces/Virgo). We're likely to see a whole lot of tense, back-and-forth in the various attempts to stake out a position while making preparations to expand our individual sphere of influence. Much of the tension seem personal. The challenge is to stand back and see how our beliefs seem to push us one way or the other. It isn't easy to objectively assess each situation on its own merits. We are challenged to integrate both material and spiritual perspectives while maintaining our balance. Most of this year has been dominated by mutable squares which produce a great deal of chaos before things slide into place in surprising new arrangements. Mars in Sagittarius squares both the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces at the Full Moon, which brings this year's 'Mutable Mayhem' to a crescendo. We are likely to see determined individuals emerging from the chaos, leading a powerful transformation in how we think and perceive the world around us.
We feel an imperative to make preparations on Sunday and there is a particularly aggressive tone. There is little interest in forming alliances or working in a cooperative manner. Tensions mount on Monday in a atmosphere that is fraught with conflict and defensiveness. Risk taking is prominent on Tuesday and there is a heightened sense of enthusiasm. Unfortunately, there isn't much help to clearly articulate our goals and we're likely to struggle when we try to integrate some wildly contradictory perspectives. Trust is strained on Wednesday in a defensive atmosphere. We will do well to remember that the overall period is geared towards letting go of what isn't working. Rather than going on the defensive, we'll do better by taking an honest look at why we feel the need to be so vehemently defensive. Our focus changes on Thursday and there is more organizational and intellectual ability to clearly articulate what our position is and how we intend to defend it. The Moon goes VOC following Friday's September Full Moon, setting up a distinctly chaotic and highly suspicious atmosphere. Rather than taking anything personally, we may want to withdraw in order to get a better view of the overall picture. By Saturday, there is some willingness to just move on from the week's tensions in order to pursue our own individual agenda. The door opens for individual efforts to move forward, unfettered by any need to garner approval.
