Saturn Turns Direct- Screws Tightening

"You can't rest on your laurels. Your own body of work is yet to come."

— Barack Obama

There is little room to slide this week. Despite the waning Moon, there are a several activating elements demanding that we display courage and determination, along with responsibility. Saturn turns direct on Wednesday, shifting our focus from past accomplishments and experiences towards what we must do in the future. We move from review to consideration in terms of planning our next moves. There may be some discomfort involved, since the inspirational Jupiter-Neptune square is set off by the impatience of Mars in Virgo, which asks for specifics and details. Combined with Saturn's return to direct motion, we may well feel the screws tightening. Luckily, there is plenty of support from several Earth trines, including a potent Grand Earth trine on Wednesday, that gives us tangible, practical tools to work with. Even though there is plenty of inspiration, there is little to suggest great fanfare — just the understanding that 'it's time to go to work'. The challenges that we face this week will be echoed once we arrive at next Saturday's Libra New Moon (11:26 AM PDT 5° Libra), which are to find ways to effectively communicate our aims, goals, and vision to others. Even though we may find ourselves facing impertinent — even ignorant — questions, we need to begin to develop answers that will help us to smooth our path going forward.

Sunday's Aries Moon allows us to display some courage — even if we're really just 'whistling in the dark'. It's time to embrace our responsibilities. Impulsiveness may cause a few problems on Monday, requiring significant adjustments later. We'll do better to adopt an "Easy Does It" approach. Tuesday's Taurus Moon highlights steady determination. It's time to get to work but we're likely to recognize some need to approach our work cautiously. We reach a potent threshold on Wednesday. Saturn turns direct as we enjoy a Grand Earth Trine, involving the Moon, Mars, and Pluto. We begin to face the prospect of new accomplishments. The Moon's arrival in Gemini on Thursday afternoon lightens the mood significantly. There is a conversational sociability that eases some of the heavy sense of responsibility. However, things get a bit foggy on Friday under the Moon's square to Neptune. Questions may seem overwhelming. By Saturday, most of us realize that even the most impertinent questions will eventually need to be answered before we can move forward.
