Mercury-Pluto Trine
Mercury-Pluto Trine - Round Three!
"Truth is a gem that is found at a great depth; whilst on the surface of the world all things are weighed by the false scale of custom."
— Lord Byron
Mercury is picking up speed and moves forward to make the third in the series of trines to Pluto this week. With the Sun now in Gemini, the Mercury-Pluto trine demands a deep dive that may feel very uncomfortable in this week's environment. There is simply no option for staying on a superficial level of insight and understanding. If we try to keep things light — superficial — the challenges and frustrations will quickly become unmanageable. The Gemini intuitive ability and capacity for detailed investigations is highlighted this week in ways that could feel very exciting, productive, and ultimately, quite promising. However, the need to dig deep, face our blind spots honestly, and clear up long standing self-deceit is likely to feel quite destabilizing for most of us in some way or another. As well, this week's emphasis on intuitive guidance has the potential to leave us open to further self-deception, delusion, or imagined slights. Blind spots can be extremely stubborn and this week begins with a fixed sign T-square involving Mercury, Saturn, and the Moon, which could set us up to stubbornly deny the truth of the issues we face, even in the face of clear evidence. Venus spends the week moving toward a conjunction with Uranus, which completes by the end of the week. If we have not been willing to honestly explore the challenges that are surfacing, we are likely to find ourselves in a wilderness of confusion and frustration, unable to understand the response we are getting from others. Ultimately, this week's journey can lead us toward freedom. But the stakes are extremely high and may seem fraught with considerable threats to our sense of safety and security. If we do feel threatened, we are challenged to look for root causes that can explain our uncertainty, rather than simply deny, point fingers, and isolate in self-deceptive self-righteousness. We may be extremely surprised by the depth and power that is presented to us this week and the stakes may be much higher that we initially recognize. Nonetheless, this is an extremely important turning point that cannot be sidestepped or ignored. The importance of having an effective and sturdy support system of trusted allies upon whom we can rely cannot be understated. The presence of Jupiter, Mars, and Chiron in Aries has the potential to give us courage to explore the depths honestly. However, the Aries energy can also increase our propensity to fight against what seems to threaten our security, that is, being honest enough to face and let go of the tightly held blind spots that are actually holding us hostage.
The fixed T-square on Sunday may have us feeling 'stuck', with little sense of safety. However, things ease up a bit as we move through the day and begin to feel more inclined to explore our options. Distractions abound on Monday. We may tend to stretch ourselves too thin or try to work too fast. We do seem to slow down and find some intuitive guidance on Tuesday. We're looking for some way to stay 'under the radar'. We need to check our intuition very carefully on Wednesday. There is some tendency toward self-deception, which others may try to take advantage of. Thursday's emotional pain may cause some erratic or unpredictable behavior. We need to get real and dig deep in order to find more reliable insights. We do find some resolutions on Friday. However, a Venus-Uranus conjunction may have surprised or confused by the responses we get from others. Saturday's demanding environment may find many of us very frustrated. Objectivity will offer the most help.
