Libra Full Moon - Lunar Eclipse

"If you hear a voice within you say you cannot paint, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced."

— Vincent van Gogh

This week begins with a midnight (Sunday night, Monday morning) Libra Full Moon (12:00 AM PDT 5° Libra/Aries Lunar Eclipse) that is likely to produce a surprisingly significant amount of indecision and self-doubt. Sunday's Moon-Mars quincunx, just ahead of the Full Moon, increases the already fraught nervous energy and 'amped up', busy atmosphere. But once we're on the 'downside' of the lunar cycle — post Full Moon — we are prone to trying to defer to others, rather than asserting our own perspectives. It is likely to take several days for us to stabilize our confidence. But once we do chase away the self-doubts and indecisiveness, we may find ourselves going too far the other way. There are temptations to indulge in an arrogant, 'sharp-elbowed' push that sets aside any attempts at balance and compromise. Some may even determine that the 'ends justify the means' and forge ahead with a decidedly over-optimistic attitude. Some of the optimism that we feel, as we near the end of the week, may be foreshadowing the approaching Jupiter-Uranus conjunction that will complete next month, on April 21st. However, since Mercury will turn retrograde next week (Monday, April 1st), we need to anticipate a period of review. In Aries, Mercury can increase our impulsiveness and we see quite a bit of that this week. Once Mercury turns retrograde, we may find ourselves becoming impatient, having a hard time seeing any need for additional consideration and reflection. This week's challenge is simply to balance self-confidence with some deference and a willingness to compromise. The Moon's transit through Sagittarius, at the end of the week, actually seems to help us to gain a 'Big Picture' perspective while also encouraging honesty. The Moon's transit also trines the Sun, North Node, and Chiron, which reinforces the message of last month's extended Chiron/North Node conjunction — essentially, "To thine own self be true". When we find the willingness to 'stay with the process', it will be easier to set aside impatience and recognize that there are even more pieces to put in place before we can actually take a firm grasp on the Brass Ring that was offered at the last Full Moon (Virgo Full Moon, February 24th, 4:30 AM PST 5° Virgo/Pisces).

The atmosphere is quite 'busy' on Sunday, with significant nervous tension. We need to work on calming down while trying to set achievable goals. Indecision and self-doubts creep in on Monday, possibly producing some defensiveness. We may try to be a bit too deferential and ignore our own perspective. Without a clear message, we may dissolve into martyrdom on Tuesday. We'll do best to work on making connections with others and expanding our contacts. Confidence returns on Wednesday but it's easy to go bit too far. Arrogance and some 'sharp elbows' may produce a few short-term bruises. Once our self-doubts are erased, over-optimism may be a problem on Thursday. We need to acknowledge that we have further to go before we actually reach the 'pot of gold'. Some may show impatience on Friday. The message is really that we need to slow down and 'stay with the process'. We gain an unsteady balance on Saturday. Confidence is tempered with caution and some may encounter a lack of trust.
