Libra Full Moon
Libra Full Moon - Individual Expression
"Freedom is won only through fulfillment. And to be free means always somewhat not to know; it is the coefficient of inaccuracy. It is based on the courage to go forth while not knowing the future."
— Dane Rudhyar
We are likely to see a great deal of (sometimes erratic) individuality trying to break through any sort of organized, cooperative activity this week. The potent Spring Equinox New Moon lunar cycle culminates with a highly creative Libra Full Moon (9:34 PM PDT 16° Libra/Aries) on Wednesday which opposes a Sun-Chiron conjunction in Aries. The challenge of the Full Moon is figuring out how we can assert our unique, individual perspective and still hope to find any sort of general consensus. In some ways, this seems like a 'Tower of Babel' scenario but it isn't the language that is the barrier. Rather, it is our unique, individual perspectives — we may not be drawing the same conclusions that others are drawing. Individual confidence is really all over the place — some are too confident, others more circumspect but in essence, this represents the struggle of blending intellect and intuition. There are certainly valuable intellectual insights surfacing this week based on facts and information. However, our intuition may not lead us to the same conclusions as our intellect. The challenge is really to find some way to listen to all the varying insights without succumbing to the demands to accept any single perspective or trying to force the acceptance of our own, individual perspective. For the most part, Not Knowing is the only truly safe space to occupy this week, despite the highly competitive atmosphere. The Libra Full Moon does provide us with enough 'light' to see that the 'seeds' that were planted at the Spring Equinox have begun to find the 'Sunlight'. However, individual awareness varies significantly along with any recognition of what may actually lay before us — what has actually surfaced under the Full Moon. Last week's concern over security seems to have evaporated in favor of significant competitiveness to raise our individual voice above the voices of others. The Full Moon's creative underpinnings offer significant hope that the individual 'threads' of differing perspectives may — eventually — be woven into a fabric of expanded spiritual awareness that helps us to recognize our connections to one another — to focus on our "similarities rather than our differences". However, with all of this week's noise — every voice trying to rise above all the others — it isn't easy to see how any sort of organized, cooperative initiatives will ever be established. This week's restless atmosphere and individual assertiveness is more likely to produce recklessness arrogance, while what is actually needed is a great deal of patience, self-discipline, and humility.
Over confidence is likely on Sunday. There are complications and surprises resulting from erratic and unpredictable behavior. We find a bit more stability on Monday. However, intuition is likely more valuable than any intellectual conclusions we are inclined to draw. We are quickly bogged down by detailed analysis of just who is more 'right'. Even trivial surprises seem to disturb us on Tuesday. We are inclined to take any number of risks in order to gain more information and clarity. We have some hope of drawing on past experience on Wednesday, under the Libra Full Moon. There is a feeling that we are 'riding a wave of destiny'. Cooperation is difficult on Thursday, disrupted by a highly competitive atmosphere. The VOC Moon increases the need to avoid taking too much for granted. We are better off keeping our search for more information 'undercover' on Friday. However, there is also a high price to pay if we find ourselves isolated by our individual pursuits. Individual voices are trying to rise above the 'noise' on Saturday. However, recklessness and arrogance cloud our message significantly.
