Leo New Moon - Initiative and Will Power

This week begins with valuable opportunities for planning and laying out the preliminary groundwork for Tuesday's Leo New Moon (1:44 PM PDT 10° Leo). However, as we move through the week, it becomes increasingly apparent that singleness of purpose and strong self-will isn't all it takes to roll out a grand new initiative. Although the New Moon is boldly optimistic, there are past debts or karmic element brought to the surface that cannot be escaped. As well, we become increasingly aware that there may be 'too many cooks in the kitchen' each with their own recipe and little cooperative spirit. The Sun's trine to Saturn on Sunday provides support for planning, ahead of the New Moon's impetus to display a bold new approach. Mercury is newly arrived in Virgo and helps us follow through on research and fill in the details. Monday is activated by the Moon's early square to Uranus, bolstering a strong will and determined individual sense of purpose and mission. Tuesday's New Moon encourages display and demonstration but also reveals significant karmic issues or elements from our past that need to be attended to quickly. Wednesday offers the best opportunity of the week to strongly deliver whatever message or inspiration that we have discovered under the New Moon. By Thursday, sharp, quick-witted rhetoric seems to demand acquiescence rather than honest dialog. Venus arrives in Virgo on Friday and prompts some skeptical investigations. There is a growing feeling that chaos and confusion is threatening to derail whatever personal initiatives we have been pursuing. If we can get past the temptation to look for an escape, Saturday offers the opportunity to go 'back to the drawing board', back to our source of inspiration, looking for ways to incorporate a broader sense of purpose. Even if we end this week disillusioned or disappointed, there is plenty of time to start over on whatever personal mission has inspired us.
