Capricorn Full Moon
Capricorn Full Moon - Approval
"The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit."
— Nelson Henderson
Impatience seems to follow us throughout the week, despite any actual progress. Attempts to garner recognition or appreciation from others for our efforts or initiatives may be very unsatisfying. There is also a strong thread of independence but we are likely to find that we aren't nearly as self-sufficient as we would like to believe. The Capricorn Full Moon (11:37 AM PDT 21° Capricorn/Cancer) doesn't really bring the sort of clarity or sense of culmination that we might be hoping for. A Venus-Neptune square only pours confusion on the Sun's trine to Neptune, stirring idealism to unsteady levels. The resulting disillusion further stirs our impatience and may also produce feelings of inadequacy and even defensiveness. There is also a Mercury-Chiron square at the Full Moon, which can make it very difficult to express the sensitivity and lack of confidence that we could find ourselves struggling with. There are echoes of last year's Saturn-Uranus square this week. The significant restrictions and limitations that we felt last year have slowly begun to ease. Now that we are in the waning phase of that square, we feel more than ready to 'break on through to the other side'. However, as we try to regain our footing within an entirely new framework, we may be finding that we are not getting the same reception that we 'used to get' — things have changed. This week in particular seems to challenge us to recognize that we need to make more adjustments. By Friday, the independence may turn quite rebellious. Determination and persistence is extremely strong but very difficult to channel into any productive action or activity. In fact, this week's lessons seem to be geared toward showing us that we might need to step back, take a breath, and try to come at things with a completely different approach. The quicker that we can let go of defensiveness, feelings of inadequacy, or disillusionment, the quicker we will regain the optimism that was stirred at the beginning the current lunar cycle. However, we have to be willing to make some kind of adjustments in order to find new aspirations and make new commitments. We don't have to abandon our goals. We just have be willing to recognize that we may have to explore different routes in order to get there.
We may be feeling quite 'self-satisfied' on Sunday. There is a sense of adventure and independence in the air. The feeling of independence continues into Monday. However, impatience begins to show with moody dissatisfaction. Tuesday shows both assertiveness and a lack of confidence — quite a destabilizing mix. We may not be fully appreciating the significance of our actions and efforts. Wednesday's Capricorn Full Moon may feel quite overwhelming. It isn't easy to pull all of the threads together and maintain a steady course. Idealism could lead us far astray. The instability and nervous tension is significant. We are less overwhelmed on Thursday but, unfortunately, more impatient. If we don't find the proper levels of appreciation for our efforts, we may be quite let down. Rebellious independence produces unpredictable results on Friday. Many will struggle with relationships. It isn't easy to understand the responses that we get from others. Optimism returns on Saturday with a new willingness to 'begin anew'. Activity heats up but we aren't nearly as concerned about whether our efforts are properly appreciated.
