Virgo Full Moon Eclipse
Virgo Full Moon Eclipse - Clean Up / Clean Out
"The worst thing about that kind of prejudice... is that while you feel hurt and angry and all the rest of it, it feeds you self-doubt. You start thinking, perhaps I am not good enough."
— Nina Simone
The Sun approaches a conjunction with Saturn this week, completing on Wednesday, just ahead of Thursday night's Virgo Full Moon Eclipse (11:54 PM PDT 23° Virgo/Pisces). Saturn demands responsibility but the pressure in this week's environment suggests that we are more likely to respond with caution rather than direct, responsible action. Restrictive self-doubts and concern over past mistakes quietly obscure our path, potentially leading to paralysis during the early part of this week. There is a great deal of idealism in the atmosphere but finding constructive outlets for that idealism is elusive, creating a great deal of restlessness. With much of our focus on past mistakes, we struggle to get a handle on taking meaningful action. Mercury's retrograde station late on Friday night (11:45 PM PDT) marks an important turning point but may have us feeling as though we are simply 'at a standstill'. The fact that the Full Moon trines Uranus and a Sun-Uranus sextile quickly follows the Full Moon suggests sudden opportunities to gain new insights that lead to greater clarity and offer lasting resolutions. The Full Moon Eclipse establishes a cleanup/clean out process that helps us to move beyond our past mistakes — letting go of recrimination and resentment — in order to find a route to productive, creative solutions. The insights gained are novel and may initially simply leave us feeling 'out-of-touch' or disoriented — amplified by the retrograde station of Mercury. However, there are definitely kernels of profound truth to be found through clear-eyed awareness. Some of this week's ideas and impulses may seem just a bit 'ahead of their time'. However, as our perspective shifts and our vision begins to clear, we can begin to learn how to make important corrections. We should understand that the current retrograde motion of Venus and the retrograde station of Mercury reflect the shift in our perspective as viewed from Earth. With our shift in perspective, we can begin to recognize that perhaps some of our past actions may have been hasty. Most importantly, with a more responsible perspective, we can begin to recognize the importance of revisiting how we communicate with others in order to establish more stable relationships, friendships, and alliances. At the very least, the involvement of both Saturn and Uranus in this week's developments point to a demand for responsible, new approaches instigated by a profound shift in perspective.
We may be lulled into a false sense of security early on Sunday. Later in the day, a significant burst of activity may lead to the potential for conflict. We struggle to embrace the optimism that is offered on Monday. There is considerable intensity that is difficult to express outwardly. The feeling of paralysis on Tuesday demands extraordinary courage to escape. Impatience results from formidable obstacles. On Wednesday, we slowly begin to recognize that hasty actions need to be re-examined from a more responsible perspective. Intuitive sensitivity is an important guide. We gain profound insights on Thursday surrounding our past mistakes, creating significant self-doubt and regret. However, there are important clues about how to rectify and resolve those past mistakes. We may be overwhelmed by self-doubt for much of the day on Friday. Nonetheless, a more balanced and productive approach emerges as the day develops. There is more of a sense of endings than beginnings on Saturday. However, the seeds of a new beginning have actually already been planted.
