The nervous excitement and intellectually driven idealism of last Monday's Gemini New Moon (May 26th, 8:04 PM PDT 6° Gemini) keeps us stirred up this week. A Venus-Chiron conjunction, followed up by the sextile of Venus to Jupiter increases our boldness, urging us to share our vision with others. However, the nervous Gemini energy can be quite destabilizing. The challenge is keeping track of the actual 'facts' and finding ways to stay grounded. The powerfully independent and rather self-sufficient Aries energy in this environment (Saturn, Neptune, Venus, Ceres, and Chiron) increases our desire to take action. It's very tempting to ignore the need to clearly communicate our vision to others. The main problem is that when we lose track of the actual facts or fail to communicate them clearly in the headlong drive to take action, we are increasingly prone to falling for (or resorting to) clever rhetoric, distortions, and deception. Patience is needed in order to quiet the nervous energies and embrace the need for adaptability, while watching for opportunities to make important adjustments to the messages that we are sending. Venus reaches her 'home' sign of Taurus on Thursday, looking for ways to calm things down and 'lock in gains'. But Venus heads towards a square to Pluto that will complete next week and the attempts to 'smooth over' the tension doesn't produce the desired results. Also this week, Jupiter reaches the 'Anaretic' (last) degree of Gemini. wildly flashing the signals of continued shifts. Jupiter will reach the sign of Cancer the day before next week's Sagittarius Full Moon (June 11th 12:43 AM PDT 20° Sagittarius). Jupiter's rulership of the next Full Moon will bring a culmination of this highly intellectual and increasingly idealistic lunar cycle. From Cancer, Jupiter can help to facilitate the important integration of emotion and intellect, which is a central theme of the current lunar cycle. The stark challenges of effectively blending intellect and emotions are at the root of the developments that we see unfolding this week. But it is also important to recognize that Jupiter, once in Cancer, will return to make the third square to Saturn, now in Aries. This last square highlights the difficulty of establishing self-respect and a clear sense of who we are. We are prone to looking for recognition from others rather than validating our own efforts. As we reach the end of this week, we find a powerful and intense atmosphere. There is an increased imperative to make whatever sacrifices may be necessary to align ourselves with our own unique sense of self and jettison old and outmoded beliefs about who we should be. Saturn is in it's 'fall' in Aries and represents the challenges of projecting out into the world the true nature of 'who we really are'. An intense fear of rejection is just below the surface as we try to convey our idealistic vision to the larger world.

Idealism may be undercut by stunning arrogance or even possible deception on Sunday. The Moon's trines to Venus and Chiron increases our boldness, encouraging the sharing of idealistic vision. Monday's energy is rather destabilizing but there are important opportunities to ground our idealism with pertinent facts. As well, we should not discount our need for connection to others. There is a great deal of nervous energy on Tuesday, urging us to take action without the necessary support. The challenge is clearly communicating our overall 'vision'. Opportunities abound on Wednesday but are subject to unexpected diversions and distracting questions. Curiosity and a lack of focus brings up far more to deal with than we can productively handle. The signals of dramatic shifts are flashing wildly on Thursday. The stark challenges of effectively blending intellect and emotions are at the root of these developments. We feel a desire to 'lock in' personal gains on Friday. Although we would very much like to see things calmed down and 'smoothed over', it isn't likely to happen. We are prone to looking for recognition from others rather than validating our own efforts on Saturday. The powerful and intense atmosphere increases the imperative to make whatever sacrifices may be necessary in order to align ourselves with our own unique sense of self and jettison old and outmoded beliefs about who we should be.
