Sagittarius Full Moon
Sagittarius Full Moon - Messy Breakthroughs
"It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see."
— Henry David Thoreau
Both the Sun and Venus arrive in Gemini this week, easing the compression of the Aries/Taurus focus that has been dominant over the last few months. To some extent, this is likely to feel as though things are lightening up. Nonetheless, by the time we reach the Sagittarius Full Moon (6:52 AM PDT 2° Sagittarius/Gemini) on Thursday, we come into a rather chaotic atmosphere where things seem to need to fall apart before they can come back together in the 'right' way. In Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, the Full Moon puts our focus on 'Truth' and our 'Belief Structures' — 'Belief Structures' which are the filters through which we view 'Truth'. Ultimately, the Full Moon brings optimistic breakthroughs in our understanding and perspective on 'Truth', even though the process may seem quite 'messy' while we're moving through it. The Sun trines Pluto and the Moon sextiles Pluto at the Full Moon. We are coming to the completion of a significant rebuilding of our sense of individual purpose, a , transformative process that began in February with the Chiron/North Node conjunction. That conjunction spurred us to find resolutions to our self-doubts and insecurities and stabilize our self-confidence. Last month's retrograde Mercury in Aries, kept us focused on the search for resolutions. The transformations that are offered by Pluto in connection with the Full Moon help us to recognize important opportunities for such resolutions. Venus makes a conjunction to Jupiter on the last degree of Taurus just before the Full Moon. That conjunction sextiles Neptune (on the last degree of Pisces). The Venus-Jupiter conjunction helps us to 'firm up' our beliefs — both about ourselves as well as the world around us. The conjunction completes in a sextile to Neptune, offering inspiration and the willingness to share our insights with others. This is a highly optimistic and spiritually enlightened environment. However, we may still need to deal with residual insecurities and suspicions, possibly stirred by expectations that lead us to misunderstand how the breakthroughs are widening our opportunities. If we are able to use Neptune's power of transcendence to help us avoid taking ourselves too seriously, we can begin to grasp the value of deepening our connections to those around us. Mars will conjunct Chiron in Aries next week, essentially capping off the process that has encouraged us to express our individuality with confidence and better understand how we fit in to the world around us. This week offers waves of new insights that broaden our perspective and offer us exciting new opportunities.
We may find ourselves quite frustrated for most of the day on Sunday. Dead-ends and conflicts seem to slow us down but we do have an opportunity to expand our perspective enough to let go of needless disputes. The atmosphere is rather unstable on Monday. The energy swings unpredictably from wild highs to very dark lows. We may feel some tension on Tuesday. However, if we can stay focused and determined in our pursuits, we should find that we have made a great deal of rewarding progress. We may feel quite overwhelmed on Wednesday. Both courage and humility are needed in an atmosphere where awareness is expanding rapidly. Although there may be quite a chaotic feeling on Thursday, it isn't as threatening as it may seem. Things seem to need to fall apart completely before they can come back together correctly. We may struggle with some self-doubt during the early part of the day on Friday. Once we stop taking ourselves too seriously, we will feel a profound shift in our perspective. There is a rather troubling 'tone' set early in the day on Saturday. It is important to try to lighten the mood enough to unwind attempts at control and manipulation.
