Neptune in Aries

Neptune in Aries - New Beginning

"Take time for all things: great haste makes great waste."

— Benjamin Franklin

We find some remarkable breakthroughs this week even though we don't quite get to a full release of 'Spring Awakenings'. Neptune's arrival in Aries at the beginning of the week is, of course, extremely significant. Neptune has not crossed the Pisces/Aries 'threshold' since 1861. Neptune will briefly return to Pisces from October 21st, 2025 until January 26, 2026. Nonetheless, 'the die is cast' by this week's ingress. We are offered the hope of a New Beginning but there are still significant intangible, mystical — and even perhaps fanatical — elements to identify and deal with. Once Saturn joins Neptune in Aries by May 25th, a tangible 'path' towards this precipitous new beginning will be far more apparent. But it is actually the forward motion of Mars — now ruling Neptune in Aries but still in the shadow of the last retrograde period (December 6, 2024 - February 23, 2025) — that demands most of our attention this week. Mars returns to make the third of three trines to Saturn and sextiles to Uranus this week. These aspects follow up on last week's third Mars-Chiron square which has opened a door to direct and pertinent individual self-expression. The Mars/Saturn/Uranus interaction amplifies the messages but, with Mars still in Cancer, Saturn still in Pisces, and Uranus still in Taurus those messages continue to be hampered by significant emotional overtones and stubbornly held opinions. The arrival of Mars in Leo on April 17th will set up the cascading shifts of Saturn into Aries on May 24th and Uranus into Gemini on July 7th. The work that we are doing now will feed directly into those dramatic shifts in the overall landscape. The retrograding Mercury and Venus continue to keep us focused on the reexamination of our perspectives this week. We are being offered important new context for understanding our past. We can begin to recognize that some of our past actions may have been hasty. However, the temptation this week is to try to correct those past mistakes with new and even more hastily formed solutions. The overall message of this current lunar cycle, initiated at last Saturday's Aries New Moon Eclipse (3:57 AM PDT 9° Aries), is to expand our perspective enough to recognize the current — and seemingly unfamiliar — environment within the context of our past. By the end of the week, we reach the 1st quarter phase of the lunar cycle and the Sun approaches an extremely helpful sextile to Jupiter. The Sun-Jupiter sextile can be expected to further expand our perspectives and strengthen the power of the insights offered by Mercury's direct station at the beginning of next week — as well as dramatically improve our ability to communicate those insights.

Sunday marks an important turning point in our recognition of past mistakes — actions taken in haste that need to be corrected. The challenge is to stabilize our perspective enough to understand how to correct those past mistakes. We may be hoping to find a 'comfortable repose' on Monday but it is seemingly nowhere to be found. We face significant feelings of vulnerability. Our perspectives begin to show signs of stabilization on Tuesday. Our ability to communicate those perspectives improves significantly as the we move through the day. There is an 'aggressive, energetic expansion of ideas' on Wednesday that is highly provocative. We need to stay alert and ready for spontaneous developments that need quick responses. We face significant confusion on Thursday. We are likely to feel as though we must 'go it alone' but will do better if we can soften our tone. Energy and activity is spurred on Friday but we are prone to touches of fanaticism or overwrought determination that is not well-grounded. Emotions are intense but lack clarity of purpose. Saturday's atmosphere is extremely difficult to control. Concentration and focus are hampered and temptations to follow dead-ends are seemingly everywhere.
